Biography
Keith -
He had practically grown up in his mother’s garden and greenhouse. The term, Mama’s Boy, had been thrown around a bit, but he didn’t seem to mind. It wasn’t love for his mother that kept bringing him back to the greenhouse, but rather the smell. He would put his nose as far into flowers as he could, and breathe deeply. Often he would have a light dusting of colorful pollen coating his face, which prompted his parents to call him Bee.
He loved the smell of Tulips and Winterbelles but his favorite were orchids of all different kinds, . His proclivity for finding new and rare plants to add to his mother’s greenhouse pushed him further and further from home. When he was old enough he would leave on short expeditions with his father. While his father was interested in the quick scurry of an animal, Keith was much more interested in the small pop of color denoting a flower, or slowly unfurling arms of a fern.
On one such occasion his nose led him in the opposite direction of his father. They were deep in the Blooming Grove, but Keith felt safe among the lush foliage. He had never seen, or smelled, a place so alive with color and greenery. He moved slowly from plant to tree to bush, carefully drawing the foreign flowers and leaves in a sketchbook. His mother would love to see the different plants here.
He pushed his face deep into a large flower the color plums and butter. After inhaling deeply, he opened his eyes, only to find two yellow eyes staring back at him. Quickly he backpedaled, but tripped over a thick root. The root started moving over his body as he struggled to get away. It slowly wrapped itself non threateningly over his shoulders to come face to face with him. A Buttercup Strangler stared at him calmly.
His father came bounding through the foliage ready strike at the heart of whatever was wrapping his son, but instead found him playing with a beast who was almost as large as the child himself.
