Aras met the heir of Clan Rosebud, Tama, at a gathering of historians, authors, and booklovers held in the Starwood Strand. There they discussed the deities and the ages, spoke at length about writing, and shared anecdotes from their respective lands. Tama described to her how Dragonhome's unassuming appearance hides a plethora of mysteries and untapped potential. For Aras, having been on her own until then, joining this clan was an easy decision.

She is most skilled in imbuing objects with magical properties using the books she writes as a catalyst, making her the clan's sole enchanter, and ambassador to the Arcane. Her craft keeps her in close quarters with the Rose Guard, enchanting their armor and weaponry to give them the advantage in all their endeavors. This nurtured an intimate relationship between herself and the head of the Rose Guard, Bhaltair. They hit it off so naturally, and became mates in time without ceremony or fuss. However, their relationship ended amicably after a few years, and they remain good friends.
