Agate

The small Spiral dodged stalactites as he flew through the dark caverns he called home. Agate did not know his parents, or if he even had ancestors. His crystal-like scales shimmered in the soft moonlight as he emerged from the darkness of the caves. Landing softly on the moonlit grass he gazed up at the stars above him.

He often wondered what the rest of the outside world was like, as he had always been too afraid to venture far away from the safety of the dark tunnels. Agate shook his head, stood up and started to walk away from the descent that had been his home for as long as he could remember.

A few hours after crossing the border between Earth and Plague territory, he found himself lost in the Scarred Wastelands. Strange noises scaring him with every step he took and he could feel hundrets of eyes on him. He was delighted when he saw the entrance to a cave in front of him and started running towards it. He was embraced by the calming darkness of the tunnel system he entered. He followed the tunnel down a steep drop that led into a large cave, slightly lit by the moonlight shimmering through cracks in the walls.

He spun around when he heard something next to him. There was a blue Fae standing before him. Her scales looked like crystals and the reflected moonlight danced on her wings, leaving beautiful patterns. The two dragons stared at each other, they were so similar, and yet so different. Agate had never seen another dragon before. "Who... Who are you?" he asked carefully. "My name is Lapis..." the Fae answered. "It's nice to meet you, Lapis! I'm Agate." he said. Lapis explained to him that this was her home and that he could stay with her if he wanted.
