He cried plenty as a child, as all children do, and of course this was enough to evoke the Empress' wrath. Not that the Empress treated Him kindly to begin with... Alois' gaze changed quickly when He was younger, bright iris' growing incredibly void as He Himself grew. Those eyes of His are not hollow, per se... but rather lacking in any hint of emotion. Those who have glimpsed the Prince Himself often whisper 'can He even feel'? ...But the harsh reality was that He was never allowed to do so since the day He was born.
