Biography
The Trapmaker
There was never a shortage of things to do in Teller's Rise. Then again, there was a war raging and she wasn't on the winning side; a situation whose severity wouldn't fail to bring any dragon down.
Any, that is, except from a child of the Windsinger.
Cries of alarm were resonnating in the lair. One of the prisonners, a resourceful Spiral from the Lightning Flight, had escaped with his secrets. She could hear the Bloodhound bellowing threats as he tore through their living spaces looking for his quarry and Seyal and Carajillo's hurried departure as they zipped away in search of the Pack. The Inquisitors were quiet but they must've been just as frenzied as the rest of the clan in finding the escapee.
Sea Jasper, however, was content working away on her latest project. A small box laid gutted in front of her and she was in the middle of painstakingly assembling a tiny mechanism inside, apparently oblivious to the commotion outside.
She didn't spare a look at the door when it opened a smidge or when yellow eyes peered inside, landing on her hunched form. It was only when the prisonner had slithered a good half of his body in her chambers that she finally glanced his way and acknowledged him.
She was curious to see if her trap placement was efficient.
No sooner did the Spiral realised that he had been spotted that a dart shot up from an unassuming crack in the floor, hitting his soft underside. With a pained gasp he went to lunge at the Fae but his legs were already weak. Sea Jasper's frill quivered in a smile; whatever mixture Curassanthura had concocted was extremely efficient. 7 seconds since the initial hit and the prisonner was spasming on the floor, sickly yellow foam coating his mouth.
"Are you satisfied with my results, Inquisitor?" She asked, already back to assembling her current dart launcher. The shadows above her moved and chuckled.
"Very. I will tell the clan the simulation is over."
Shadeseeker peeled himself from the ceiling and landed near the Spiral, observing his now still form.
"He had more to tell. The Lord Inquisitor will be incensed." He remarked emotionlessly, turning to her. The Fae smiled again, reaching for a large scroll by her desk.
"What a coincidence, I have more to test. Tell Lord Helianthus that he will have his answers."
The Nocturned tilted his head to the side in curiosity as Sea Jasper put her trap aside and unrolled the scroll, revealing body diagrams and eldritch scribblings.
"I believe my studies with the Dollmaker are ready to bear fruit."
