i had a fever dream that might just have been a [beep] normal dream. anyway ok so bear with me
khukri literally does Not see or speak unless there's wind blowing remember
she's blind and mute EXCEPT for her [beep] wind primal powers which basically allows her the [beep] op/ridiculous ability to [beep]
see whatever the wind can touch
speak using hte Wind to carry the sounds
underground she's [beep] useless
Aine's literally trying to kill her (of course, aine has no good reason she just [beep] Hates this child) and also hates canelm and yuyi (well, it's mostly yuyi, but they're a pair so she Has to hate both of them) on a delivery. to Ice. They have like Two associates in Ice lairs there are a zillion better 1) deliverydragons and 2) ways to mail a [beep] LETTER 3) REASONS to send them aside from, again, a letTTER
but like, plan failed, because Aine kind of banked on Khukri being unable to see [beep] due to all these [beep] snowflakes clouding her 'vision', but khukri is Wind so she just [beep] uses Wind Magic to make a very nice barrier/orb around herself and her siblings
it's still cold and miserable but at least they don't have snow in their faces
and also at least they don't have thei windchilsl
anyway they're having a grand time until khuckir trips over a [beep] rock. it's oval-y, really cold, covered in ice, was half buried in the snow and all those [beep] snowflakes are a pain huh. her wind vision is Not fantastic, mind you, it's like some kinda echolocation so she just goes by touch (it's ice) and taste (it's ice.) and 'looks' at it (a rock, covered in ice!) but something about the shape is Very Nice! so she just
shoves it into a pouch and scrambles to catch up to cnaerlm and yuyi
anyway they get the delivery done, it takes a few days/weeks. khukri has this rock. everything is Fine despite canelm being super tiny and the most prone to frostbite. also yuyi's mecha legs being connected directly to Skin so like, she's also prone to frostbite, aine is a [beep] man i hate her she's my fave
anyway there is Water leaking outta khrukrisbag and canelm and yuyi are like 'what the [beep] did you pick up. khukri. khukri waht hte [beep] did you do.' kind of like twhnen your dog has a thing and you're like OPEN YOU R MOUTH WHAT R U EATIHNG
anyway she kinda goes 'oh yeah i found a rock :D' and she reaches into her pouch and gets a handful of stupid hatchling
