Biography
♥ ____________________________ You are a dear friend to me! I know this gorgeous g1 girl wouldn't last until your birthday, someone could grab her and I would be a lil sad. When I saw her I knew that she had to be in your lair. Hahaha I don't have much left to do on FR beside a few things so I prefer to spoil my friends <3" Thank you so <3 I don't deserve you! ____________________________ ____________________________ ____________________________ |
I knew one day I would return Back to the place my kin had earned But on arrival twas then I found More devious denizens there now abound Those who steal and those who lie No honour in any passersby But still I've come to stake my claim And restore this place's rightful name For I bring Justice, I bring Truth I will drive out all of those uncouth And as the stars are our guides in the sky Bringing light in the dark, thus so shall I! – by Horrorsilk The Temple, the leylines and the coven At the very beginning of the Driftwood Rag sat a temple remnant from the Second Age, with inscriptions and runes carved into dark grey marble, where leylines and great elemental power converged to. The temple was discovered by a starting clan of Shadow mages, whose expertise was crafting hexes and curses. The magic alignment of the region caught the elders attention and so they established the Coven of Nilfay, where the elders dwelt on dark magic within the temple while the guardians kept the surrounding areas protected from outsiders. The faes of Nilfay, as they were called, drained the magic from the leylines to their own benefit, to create powerful spells. As time passed, the group grew, drawing more and more mages to it. The number of Nilfay members however, soon outcome the amount of energy they could sap from the temple and so the magic in the area started to dwindle and with it, the interest of sorcerers in staying at the place. As the elders realised soon the Nilfay Temple would deplete of its magic, they prepared the clan to leave; they emptied the region, the surrounding buildings and all the structure they had build, which extended from the depths of the Driftwood Rag to the two twin buildings at the south-western bay, Zenith and Nadir. Of the former glory the region had, only the architecture remained. The Nilfay Temple, once the heart of a strong Coven, was now one of many Ghostlit Ruins lost within the dark fog of the Tangled Wood. The Last Nilfay Witch Years, decades passed. Now residing at another temple, the elders of that clan were close to passing. Their enemies had plans to kill their only daughter. The Nilfay witch was well aware of the malice her parents former allies had in plan for her and so she gathered all their grimoires, tomes and artefacts and left in the middle of the night, before her parents passed. She knew she had no chance to fight them and her parents had raised her with pride. She was the Nilfay coven legacy. The Coven existed wherever she was. At a crossroads, she made a decision. She would return to where the Coven started and re-raise it from it's ancestor home, hoping the leylines would have earned some of its magic back by now. She was the last Nilfay Witch, a mighty powerful mage, and she would bring them glory again. Freya Nilfay From the moment she arrived, she started earning quite the reputation. Freya is a bit obnoxious, has no inner voice and very obviously loathes the merchant town that has been stablished, firmly holding on to her beliefs that the magical energy converging towards the clan's grounds should be used for more than merely hoisting a merchant city. She butts heads with Farris and the Navigator Guild at least monthly and her grandiose and boisterous nature makes her a favourite among the factions who... Either aren't so fond of the Navigators or just love laughing at their expense. Freya is proud and confident, a natural extrovert and a born leader. She has no qualms about making decisions, a good eye for the long-run and is overall a good strategist. Still, most groups will not take her as part of their crew because she is very hard to deal, being as stubborn as she is capable. Still, Kelly will gladly let her pulls the reigns over the Snapdragons and so Freya has been slowly but surely turning that ragtag bunch of misfits into something that might in the future be called an actual threatening crew of warriors and mages. |
