Astaroth

Astaroth hails from Light territory and was once known as a fierce believer and defender of his ideals of honor and justice. Years of deceit by his trusted allies, his own infliction of wrongful death, and intense ethical struggle while working to expose the truth and bring positive change to the Hewn City crushed his once hopeful spirit; he now lives painfully under the weight of his sins, old injuries, and cynicism. Don't let his appearance fool you however, the dragon once known as "The Viper" is still capable of striking down those who threaten the clan he now calls home.

Astaroth lives a mostly secluded life in ETC B-4, believing that he's not worthy of respect and preferring to keep his suffering to himself. He earns his keep by supervising the trainers in their work with recruits, making schedules and often correcting their instructional methods. He is greatly respected by Thorn, who will often come to him seeking advice (requests that Astaroth accepts begrudgingly). Astaroth is particularly fond of Lukas, perhaps due to the similarities he sees in Luk and his younger self, and the two can often be found sharing a quiet patrol.

Though serving a completely different flight, Astaroth has found new purpose in the fight against REDACTED and sometimes catches himself wondering if his contributions here at ETC B-4 may one day outweigh his mistakes. Perhaps redemption is possible for someone like him after all.

Emperor Expedition

The unthinkable has happened, the worst nightmare of a Light dragon. An emperor has been created and is now tearing across Light territory, consuming and destroying everything in its path. Will the beast pose a threat to Lightning? What about the Light Flight as a whole, does this spell its end?

ETC B-4 has heard only fragments of news from the area, besides the presence of the Emperor not much else is known. Astaroth has decided to lead an expedition to the area to gather essential intel. Light was once his home, after all, and though he serves a different deity now he cannot help his distress at Light's predicament. Perhaps he can help some of the clans or dragons caught in the area, or at the very least gather enough intel so Lightning can properly prepare should the beast cross into their territory.

This may not be a mission he returns from, but he has made his peace with that. After all, what is the weight of his sorry life compared with that of innocents? This is something that he must do, perhaps if he lives he may finally find peace.
