The Warrior of Storms

SUMMARY

Stormhawke claims to have no past. She cast off her old family and clan when she learned how to let the power of the storms run through her. She wields lightning with ease, using her precise grace and raw ferocity to destroy any opponents who stand against her. No less dangerous is her steel sword, which has cut its way through many battles. Deadly in all forms of combat, she has the attitude to match.

Stormhawke is a sarcastic and cynical dragon to most, cold and even mean to others. She is confident in her skill to the point of nearly being haughty, and is willing to fight anyone who dares to challenge her. She respects the leaders of the clan, and she cares about her friends- but for the most part, prefers to be left alone by strangers. She spends most of her time with the other warriors, gossiping and sparing with them when she's not picking fights with her rival Tanja.

HISTORY

Stormhawke was born to a nomadic caravan clan that traveled the Shifting Expanse. To her shame, she was abandoned as a young child during a particularly bad storm and left to die or find her way alone. She has never revealed this to anyone, but she managed to harness that experience and learn the secrets of the storm. She became a mercenary despite her young age, and spent the next few years of her life clawing out a living for herself using thunder and lightning.

It took her years to finally reach a point where she felt comfortable enough to settle down, and eventually found the opportunities at clan Rivensong to appeal to her. They respected her for her experiences, and she was willing to lend them her strength in battle. She quickly became close friends with some of the other warriors, namely Stratia, Leeta, and Nivenor. Occasionally she assists travels with the raiding ships- but she normally stays on the islands, acting as a guard.

Her day to day activities, however, would be much more boring if it were not for Stormhawke's intense rivalry with Tanja. She met the wind mage shortly after her arrival, and Stormhawke quickly became jealous of her magical prowess. Tanja, of all dragons, managed to get under Stormhawke's skin, and their rivalry began when Stormhawke challenged her openly. The two dragons were surprised to find one another on equal footing. Ever since, both dragons have continued trying to get an upper hand on the other. To her face, Stormhawke would openly call Tanja annoying and pretentious, overstating the importance of her job and wasting her magical potential. Privately, however, she admires her unique magical theory and the skill with which she carries out her duties. Not that she'd ever admit that...
