Elonkorjuu held her head low as she pushed through the Unfavored. Most moved out of her way; as a Neutral she wasn't much-but still above them. One of them raised his head and bares his teeth at her as she went to shove him aside. Turning her scarred eye toward him, she leaned in close to the now cowering dragon.
Through clenched teeth she whispered out
"You know not to cross me, Unfavored." Malice dripped from her teeth as she spat out the word "Unfavored".
The dragon scurried away, muttering apologies under his breath.
Elonkorjuu sighed. She made it through the masses of dragons, and collapsed on the rough floor of her cave. Looking around to make sure her cave mates were gone, she quickly opened the satchel attached to her side.
She plucked out some small bones and carefully attached them to the strings adorning her wings. She found she was much more respected if she showed off the kills she accumulated while hunting for the clan.
At the bottom of the bag lay a small tuft of brightly colored hair. Normally she hid this fur in the secret compartment at the bottom of the bag, but it must have come loose when the Unfavored ran into her.
Gingerly she picked up the fur and turned it around in the scattered beams of light reflecting off the ground. This piece had come from a young tundra on one of her first solo hunts. The tundra was deemed less than an Unfavored; she spoke poorly of Tuhkat and he found out.
For her crimes, Tuhkat sent Elonkorjuu to "take care" of her. Everyone knew that that meant murder.
Elonkorjuu could not commit to it however, as she had known the tundra well and didn't want to see her acquaintance suffer. In exchange, she took the tundras right claw, and a tuft of her fur.
She returned the claw to Tuhkat, who was satisfied with that proof of kill. As for the fur, Elonkorjuu crafted the secret pocket to place it in.
The fur would always remind her that while her life was hard and cruel, she at least made one dragons life better.
Taking one more big sigh, the bogsneak returned the fur to the satchel. She glanced up at the light; watching the dancing sunlight turn from golden yellow to a deep sunset orange. Closing her eyes, she drifted off to dream of a better life.
