Biography
Neve is the founder matriarch of the Quaeris Clan and former leader, before passing the role onto her adopted daughter and mentoree Zeria. Her species' famous monotone speech is somehow even more monotone with her, probably also influenced by the regal icy attire she wears that dons her a cold appearance. Despite this, she is a gentle and kind soul who believes in pacifism and equality between flights. After being helped in building the caves for her clan's homes by a local group of Longnecks, she also deeply believes that alliance between beastclans and dragons can be achieved, and has let beasts into her clan from the start - sometimes at fault as they stole things and made havoc, most of the time rightly so as members of beastclan settled in Quaeris, befriended dragons as their familiars and started helping them in their daily activities. Neve, even if she stepped down from the leader role, is still part of the elder council that assists the current Leader Zeria in her decisions.
Neve grew up in a middle-sized clan located close to the Starwood Strand, her mother Derie originally coming from the Ice flight. She saw how her mother was treated with distrust and caution, even with hate from the other dragons in the clan, just because of having a different origin. She saw how her mother suffered and almost took her eyes out in a fit due to years of being refused by everyone around her, even her mate's family - those icy eyes Neve so loved and Derie so much hated. Because of this, after her mother's death due to a much stronger flu than usual (which probably found fertile territory in the already suffering body of the ice-born fae) she decided to leave her clan and found her own, a new peaceful refugee clan where dragons of all flights would be welcome. She convinced her childhood best friend Licas to embark in a journey with her to find the perfect place to settle the new clan, and found it in the Olenite Archipelago, a group of islands close to the shores of the Tourmaline Archives very close to the border of the Ice Flight. There, they built their clan as a haven for those dragons who were rejected, ridiculed, or threatened by their clans, for those against the flight wars or the beastclan fights, so for anyone - dragon or beastclan - who felt like they didn't belong. Wandering individuals were sheltered and given something to eat and a place to sleep for the night, safe from possible rogue attacks or from exposure to the elements.
Neve still lives in a wing of the Royal Cave Palace with her mate, Tigger.
