Background:

Limpidus sat by the light of his lantern. It was one he made himself in his spare time. It reminded him of the time spent studying in Light, and the great artisanship that surrounded him. It made him think of Laete, his childhood friend, too. It was nice to be reunited with her again. He couldn't help but smile a bit when thinking fondly of his old friend.

The light in the lantern flickered softly, causing him to turn to the shadows. Shadow. That's how he met his mate, Levis. Levis got transferred to the Crimson Borough, but she didn't care for picking a formal role in the Gaoler hierarchy. He hadn't heard of anyone doing that before, but respects her for it. Levis had a unique personality that he had to admire.

Limpidus put down his pen. He had finished transcribing some judicial records from some previous proceedings. These would be filed away for later. He was getting a bit drowsy, he had to admit. He thought he'd call it a night. Today had gone pretty well, and he was glad to be surrounded with those he cared about.

  • Dragons are not to kill one another unless in a matter of self defense or ritual combat.
  • For combats or conflict, they must have a clear number of participants, start, and end.
  • If a participant is wounded as a result of a combat, they are to be cared for afterwards.

  • If either of those laws are broken, they should still be cared for.
  • For participants who are captured, they must be given sufficient food and are to retain their belongings apart from anything that can be used to cause harm to any party. Those are to be confiscated and touched by neither party until the combat is resolved.
  • Those who are captured are considered prisoners. They are to be treated as a fellow comrade would be treated.
  • The prisoners are to be released when the conflict is resolved and to be given back all their belongings.
  • The pursuit of knowledge permits spying.
  • Should a spy be found, they are not to be injured. They are to be turned into an authorized court to await trial to assess how legally they acquired the information.
  • To elaborate, overhearing or being entrusted with information is legal, however "hacking" and "searching" for information in enemy territory is illegal.
  • The pursuit of knowledge condemns inflicting harm upon anyone in order to get information.
  • Civilians and medics are allowed passage through all lands.
  • The right to defend territory is protected so long as so no body is injured until someone throws the first strike or further intrusion would endanger others.
  • Stealing is prohibited.
  • All violators of this are to come peacefully to an authorized court for trial.
  • Resisting arrest is not allowed.
  • The punishment will fit the crime and stay consistent between authorized courts.
    Legal punishments include:
  • Mandatory temporary stay with a healer.
  • Mandatory temporary status as a prisoner.
  • Mandatory temporary service.
    If more severe crimes, temporary becomes permanent.
  • If more severe, execution.
