When she was younger, Samhain lived happily in the fiery expanses of the Ashfall Wastes, learning the delicate arts of glassblowing with her siblings. She loved what she did so, enjoying seeing the glass come from the blazing furnace and shape into something new: It was mesmerizing to the young Skydancer. A hard worker at heart, Samhain worked endlessly to advance her skills in the craft... Until that fateful day.

Although she was kind and caring, Samhain was never one to think before she acted: And so one day, when war came to her home clan, she picked up the fight, and watched as her home was torn from the inside out. Afraid for her life, she left, flying with everything she could clutched in her claws, away from the war and away from everything she's ever known. It was a cruel wake-up to her, and for a while, she remained alone, mourning the family she lost. Until she met the traveler.

The cream-colored Coatl was kind and goofy, a storyteller and traveler: She was one to fumble over her own claws and lift herself back up smiling and chuckling. Samhain was still mourning then, still in turmoil over the family she'd lost... But Hastu helped lift her again, helped her realize she needed to rebuild. To rise from the ashes. Slowly, as Hastu lifted her from her depressed state, she began to fall- And soon, it was clear that the Coatl shared her feelings.

And so, they were: Samhain has made herself at home among the Windswept, but Hastu's adventurous spirit made sure she could never be held down: Both of them have become like a mother figure to Promise, a young Imperial from another dimension. Hastu still travels, but stops in frequently to see her love and her child: And so Samhain gets a new beginning.
