Don't be fooled by the draconic tree before you - the real focus should be on the fox that is perched between Its branches. Amans is a mischievous fox that finds herself at home in paradise, and has chosen a mossy cherry blossom tree as her resting place, alongside the other forest creatures. She loves to play tricks on those who trespass on her side of the wood, disorienting her prey and stealing travelers' food while they're confused by her illusions. Make no mistake, there's more to her than meets the eye.
The tree Itself is said to be imbued with infinite life, attracting the forests' fauna to have a touch of Its boundless energy as well. An astute observer may find a bird sleepily eating a bug from It's trunk, and in the next moment, it will shoot itself high into the skies and soar for miles. Locals will take the flowers that fall off the tree and turn them into talismans, gifting the wearer with a boost of energy to get through a rough day.

Surprisingly, Amans herself never benefits from the tree's powers. In fact, she is most often seen snoozing along one of It's branches, in between her time heckling passersby or chittering with birds. Some of the locals speculate that she's taken so much energy from the tree over the years that she's become immune to it, which has become a lesson amongst the locals to only use the energizing talismans in moderation.

tumblr_ph64flyTl71wgebr5o3_250.png Her lack of energy and unwillingness to leave her perch has made her look like a lazy fox, letting her tricks and magic do all the work, though travelers are warned to not mess with the cherry blossom trees. Dragons consumed by greed who attempt to pick off the tree's flowers or rip Its bark will be met with the wrath of Amans, and when locals hear of reports of a dragon gone missing, they'll find a new mushroom along the tree's body and merely shake their heads.
