Extremely shy and introverted teenage girl from a royal Arcane clan. She stores a strong psychic powers in her eyes but she's not very good at using them. She's very kind and also very bad in believing in other people's bad intentions. Because she was strictly kept inside her castle she's not good at existing in the outside world. She developed some feelings towards Ravioli although he doesn't seem to notice.

THIS STORY WILL BE IMPROVED

She's a very important member of royal clan, that bloodline reached the times when first arcane dragons appeared. Those dragons were no one other than her ancestors, it made her family the most superior clan in the entire Starfall Isles. Of course every dragon is the distant offspring of the god, but no one was this close to the Arcanist as she and her clan. She was a medium, just like her other siblings, but she had the strongest psychic powers of all of them, so she was supposed to be the future ruler. Everyone respected her after she proven her power, but she was very scared of being the Alpha because she didn't felt like she is ready for it. She's awfully shy and it's hard to have a long conversation with her, because of her short and quiet way of talking. It's not like she doesn't like others, but she feels that every word she speaks can hurt. The sun was beaming, her bodyguard, Peanut, was casually sunbathing in the courtryard and keeping an eye on her. Wheather was very warm and sea breeze was refreshing. She really loved to draw the view from the main balcony, her latest drawing was called "Fuschia Peaks" and was almost ready, but something was still off with this drawing. She had no idea what it was.
"It is a beautiful piece of art, miss." Peanut had his usual sour expression, but she knew that, despite his cruel look, he was always rooting for her. She put down the pencil and intensly gazed at the horizont, looking for any details she couldn't draw. Nothing new.
*I do not understand. Everything is matching perfectly, so why am I not satisfied? Maybe I should try other colors?* A dissapiontment. Peanut slowly moved his tail and very gently patted her head with it. His dry scales were slightly pulling her skin back with every pat.
"I think that it would be more realistic if you could actually be there on your feet, miss." This giant was very understanding, he knew exactly what's on her mind and how to sooth her. He was a lot more of a parent for her than her actual parents, who were always focusing on politics. Lately, they were awfully busy with finding her a proper husband, because she's reaching her adulthood. She, of course, had nothing to say about this, she will marry whoever they will find, if she likes it or not. The future of her clan depends on it. She sat down and looked at the pink mountains in the distance with a lonesome look. The mountains were almost mocking her. After all... She couldn't even do what Peanut said, because she can't leave her lair, ever. That is also a rule she had to follow, ever since she was born. And also, she couldn't play with the other kids, because they were "unworthy" of being friends with a royal medium. Her siblings didn't spent too much time with her either. They had their own business to take care. And, truthfully, she could see them only on fancy gatherings. When she was focusing on the pink view, suddenly a loud slam came from the inside of the lair. Peanut turned his head towards the balony door as the main maid just flew trough the entrance in hurry, she was exausted.
*huff* "I have finally found you, misstress! Alphas needs you in the Throne Room, now! They have found a decent candidate for your husband! Please hurry, miss Strudel!" Maid looked at her with enthusiasm, but medium didn't share the happiness. Strudel looked hesitantly at Peanut. He gently smiled. His expression said something like "It will be alright. Don't be scared." This look gave her a bit of courage. She wasn't very happy about this, but she didn't want to dissapoint her followers. Strudel hesitantly noded and maid grabbed her arm, and they quickly flew out of the balcony.

It was raining. That's for sure, water was dipping through the holes in the roof on her head. Her eyes and mouth were covered, wings and legs tightly tied and her memory was blurry. She could feel as if the ground was waving. It was probably some sort of a ship or boat, but the most important part is... How she even get there?
*I-I cannot use my powers... Where are you, Peanut?*. Strudel tried to feel a lock or some sort of bars in the pitch black box she was held. She touched with her left paw a small hole in a back wall, a whole lot of holes, and in front wall was a piece of metal. The whole room was small and made out of wood, it was definitely a chest or a box. There's no way she can let herself out from the inside. Strudel curled into a ball in despair and tried to recall what happened before.
*I remember that maid was dragging me all the way to the throne room... Father was sitting on his seat and... someone was there. Who was it?* She focused, and after a while in her head appeared a memorable figure.
*I-I think I remember now... It was a candidate for a husband for me. F-Father and Mother picked him.* He supposidly was a very rich and highly putted dragon in Scarred Wasteland. A pearlcatcher... but... he had only one horn?... I don't even remeber thier faces but his ailment piqued my interest as soon as I saw him. He was standing in front of her parents and bowing deeply. Alphas were delighted. He was almost all alone, which was weird for someone supposidly important. Almost - there was a single female Pearlcather that he said was his guardian. Female pearcatcher had a killing gaze and unfriendly attitude. Both of them were wearing very elegant clothes and his polite attitude convinced her parents almost immidetally. Well, the amount of treasure convinced them, to be honest. It was surprising, but he really had a lot of treasure. Almost as much as they had in the castle.
*Those Pearlcatchers were suspicious from the very minute I saw them. But Father and Mother said that I should behave, because the decision was made a few hours ago already. Be so blinded with just a bunch of treasure... T-They really are an awfully greedy creatures... But, I suppose, I am not any better... To be such a c-coward when it comes to defending my opinion.* She squinted her eyes and tears flew down her cheeks and sinked into the eyeband. After that, all she remembers is that he asked her to go for a walk in front of the lair, and that's where the story ends - here, in a cold and small chest.
arcane_rune.png
A opening lock from the outside woke her up. Or maybe she wasn't sleeping at all? This darkness was really getting to her. She immediately sat down and her heart was beating like it was about to explode. There were footsteps, and she heard the kidnappers discussing something:
"-od lord Pepp. You've ruined it! They probably know that somethin' is up. Do you really have to rush things?" It was a voice of that female Pearlcather from the castle, she seemed angry. Their voices were getting louder.
"Are you... trying to lecture me after what YOU did, hm? I know what I'm doing. They would found out about it anyway, so it was better to do it while the big guy wasn't around, right?" The male pearlcatcher said, and the lock in front of her made a clicking sound.
"Besides... I am not patient type." The chest sounded as if it opened and someone took out a band that covered her mouth. She felt as if someone leaned above her.
"Drink it... And don't say a word, my "guardian" can chopp off your head any moment." His voice was dead serious. A chills went trough her body. She didn't wanted to drink, if it really was water or not, but her dry throat was killing her. She reclutantly took a sip from a glass container. The wave of cold and salty air from the outside refreshed her.
"Don't kid around with her too much, Pepp. We gotta go." The female Pearcatcher said right next to her left ear.
*S-She really was there the whole time?! I didn't felt her presence at all. But it seems as if there are only two of them.* Strudel gulped the water and male Pearcatcher covered her mouth back. The chest made a loud sound and closed. She was back again in a totally black emptiness.
She was inside of that box for ages now, or at least it felt like it. Those two were coming inside to give her water every so often. Her body was all stiff, and she started to forget how it's like to see a light or talk. All this time she could hear them talking about her being sold to some rich clan in Southern Icefield and about her powers.
*If those dragons are such luxurious, then why would they ask rogues to kidnap me? They could just visit my lair, and I am sure that Father and Mother would be pleased with their amount of money.* Lying like that on the wooden floor, she heard an door open. She sat down, confused and worried.
*They have left just a moment ago, so why they are coming back?* The door made an old creek and she heard a very thin footsteps approaching the chest. She curled in the corner completely paralyzed in fear, when the lock started clicking. What now? The chest made a opening sound and she tightly closed her bandaged eyes.
"I am not here to hurt you." Said a very calm, male voice, whispering as quietly as possible. Stranger took bands from her eyes and mouth. Bright light blinded her for a moment. What a sensation, be happy to see something as normal as just light. After being so grateful of being freed, she realized something. Who saved her? After her eyes got used to seeking, she saw someone new in front of her. It was an armored skydancer who was looking at her, with a tired and yet caring expression. Her heartbeat calmed down, but she still heard like her chest is bumping rapidly.
*Thank you, Arcanist, for granding a blessing on me. I will always be spreading Your greatness on the dragon world.* Her eyes got wet and she smiled happily. She couldn't believe that it's over. Well it wasn't, as long as they are on this ship, they are not safe. The skydancer patted her head, and cut the ropes that were tangling her with his claws. The blood filled her limbs and she could finally stretch. The skydancer looked around all nervous and gently took Strudel out of the box, holding her by her arms and chest. His paws were very bony, but warm. Strudel kept staring at him with sparkling eyes. Like a small puppy. To be honest, she never felt anything like that. She wanted to say something, but not even a single word came out of her mouth. After he put her on the ground, skydancer kneeled in front of her and put his finger on his mouth. She noded and obiendly followed him to the door.
arcane_rune.png
They were slowly and quietly sneaking through the corridor on the ship. Floor wasn't making it easier, almost their every step was creaking. Strudel kept on looking at her saviour. She was holding him by a brown fur on his tail.
*I wish I could say how much I am thankfull for his escort. I will give him anything for saving me... I-I wish I could hear his name.* She looked down at her bared ankles and her torned dress. How could a future Alpha look like this? The skydancer stopped and looked back at her.
"Miss, we are almost outside the ship, but before we do escape, I want you to put on this." He whispered and took out a long black coat with hood. She looked at it with a confused expression and slowly put it on. It was completely oversized and ragged but a lot more comfortable than her usual royal clothes. He turned to the exit and she caught his tail back. A very bright light showed up in front of them. On the deck was a whole lot of dragons walking here and there. The sky was grey and atmosphere was freezing. It seems that they are approaching the Southern Icefield. Strudel had no idea how amazing it feels to see an outside world. She never been this far away from home. There were all kinds of dragons, talking, sleeping and waiting to finally arrive at the other side of the ocean. Skydancer picked up the pace and nervously looked around. Right, those kidnappers can be anywhere now. She came closer to him and pulled her hood more to cover her face.
*I have red stories about ships and other continents. They were truly fascinating, but I cannot believe that I am about to put my paw on a real snow. It was always my dream, but how unfortunate that it was meant to be in such barbaric way.* They stopped and she looked up in confusion. There was a hooded Imperial staring at them. Judging by his scales he's not a child, more a teenager. She is used to big dragons, so it's posture was less scary than it's rough gaze. Skydancer sat down and dragged Strudel closer to him, between his arms, and gently hugged her. She felt overwhelmed and turned red in embarresement. Nobody was ever allowed to be this close to her, even Peanut. But she can't just stand on the view. Imperial smirked in satisfaction and sat down as well.
"Good job. I honestly thought that you'll be a dead man." Strudel tilted her head. Teenage dragon patted his whiskers and turned around. She haven't noticed this before but he had a gigantic luggage on his back thickly covered in some skins and furs.
*It would be rude for me to ask about it... But I really wonder what is that.* When she was curiously looking at his back the teen dragon turned back to them with a disturbed look.
"Are they?" Imperial unsteadly asked.
"Hm, they haven't noticed a thing, my friend. But we should hurry." Skydancer reasured him with a slightly unsure tone. Strudel was quietly sitting the whole time and didn't dare to say a word, it could get them all killed, but she really had a whole lot of questions right now. The warmth of the skydancer was soft and sheltering. Imperial looked her deep in the eyes and sighned:
"Not everyone is as lucky as you. Just stay quiet and hidden, okay missy?" Strudel noded and haven't even noticed when her eyes shut. It was her first good sleep in days.
arcane_rune.png
A cold, howling wind that stroked her ears woke her up. She opened her sleepy eyes and saw completely white world beneath her. She couldn't believe what she's seeing right now. The same view like the one in the books. All pine trees were tiny and completely covered in snow. She was high enough to see clouds right next to her.
*So beautifull... I must have been dreaming for a long time. Where are...* Strudel looked around and saw that she's on the back of Skydancer who saved her, and behind her was Imperial from the ship. She slowly sat down and the teen said with his usual sassy voice.
"Mornin' sleeping princess. You got us into some trouble, y'know." His tone was as sour as a lemon. Skydancer slightly laughed and turned his head.
"My, don't be so rude, my friend. It is not her fault... Entirely." Imperial sighted and flew closer to them.
"I don't know how about the joker over there, but I'm not a charity, missy, so you gonna pay for at least MY part of escort." Strudel turned towards him and bowed for probably first time in her life. It was the most awkward feeling she ever felt.
"I will definitely pay for all the trouble I have caused you. Y-You are my heroes." Tears started to fell down her cheeks but she wasn't sad, those were tears of joy. Imperial had a troubled expression. His whiskers were covered in ice, they must have been flying like this for a long while.
She looked up. She had to know - now, when she finally can speak.
"May I ask... Who might you be and how did you found me?" This was quite important. Those are still strangers for her after all, so she needs to know whos helped her. Imperial was silent, but Skydancer said:
"Truthfully, I am just a soldier who was sent for a mission to find you. While the other gentleman there is just passing by. It is a long story, but we overheard those dragons talking about you, and there we are to save the day. Haha." He smiled gently. She had no idea where to start analyzing this, but it seems that this was just a BIG coinsidence that they overheard those two talking. Without that she would still be inside that chest. Does that mean that she needs to thank her... kidnappers for being so careless?
"Your clan is known from it's strong psychic powers, right?" Imperial suddenly said with a rough voice. Strudel looked up and noded.
"Tell me... I just wanna know if... I'll ever be the most famous gambler in the world. Will I?" He sassily smiled. Strudel had had a confiused look on her face and didn't knew how to respond.
"M-My psychic powers do not predict the future..." She was troubled and nervous, but Imperial seemed happy with this responce.
"...Well THAT'S useless. Hah I bet I will be anyway...Then... I want you to guide me to my friends' lair in exchange. That's my request. I need to get there, but I have no idea where to look." Strudel noded once again.
"Naturally. To do that I will need to see their face, or something that belongs to them." Imperial looked unsure for a moment, but then took out something out of his pocket.
"Will this do? This paper is old as an Eartshaker, so the scent is probably long gone, but..." An awkward silence occured. Is this guy serious? Strudel turned bright red and Skydancer started laughing.
"My friend, I do not think that psychic powers work like hunting hounds, hahaha" Imperial turned his head in other direction.
"FINE, I get it... Sorry, missy." He seemed very abashed and scratched his chin. Strudel was still blushing, but she cleaned her throat and took from Imperial the old piece of paper. It really was ancient. The paper had a picture on it. It was a very blurry drawing of a purple-white dragon. She intensly focused on it. Actually, it was the first time she used her powers to help someone. Her parents never let her use them for such puny reasons. Then her eyes started glowing in bright pink light, Imperial turned his head in other direction, completely blinded and then an emblem of Arcane slowly appeared on her forehead, intensly glowing.
*This picture... I can see the very day when it was made... That small girl put a lot of effort on making it, and yet all I feel from it is sadness. Her wherebouts... She lives underneatch the ice?... We are very near then.* Strudel collapsed on Skydancers back in exaustion. Her powers might be strong, but very tiring.
"Are you alright, miss?" Skydancer was worried and turned his head towards her. She slowly sat down and noded. Imperial had a reliefed expression.
"...You are a one cool lass, I give you that! But don't overdo it, 'kay?" He cheerfully laughed. Strudel stood up, sat on the back of Skydancers neck and pointed towards the South.
"She is residing in a cavern benith the Ice. I will gladly guide you to the very end for risking your life for me." Then she realized. Isn't she forgetting something? She looked down and usteadly asked:
"Um... W-What do YOU wish in exchange sir?" Strudel was very nervous when asking this. Her heart was quickly bumping. Skydancer smiled and closed his eyes.
"I only wish to you to get back home safely, ma'am. That's my duty AND a request. A nice little lady shouldn't be put in such stressfull situations." Strudel blushed and slightly covered her face in her coat. This man was the kindest person she got to know. Feeling hot from embarrassment, she felt as if something cold fall down on her nose. Looking up she saw beautiful snowflakes sparkling in the light of the moon. What a view. Her first snowfall. Sitting like that, she felt like a heavy burden fell down her back. A complete relief from a strict life she was forced to live.
