Rin is a typical angsty and edgy teenager who thinks that can solve everything by himself. He tends to act tough and sassy when he's scared which often turns out even worse. That's pretty much how he get himself into babysitting Lime. Rin doesn't have a lot of friends because of his attitude and extraordinary skills in all kinds of games that include dices or cards. One of his only friends is Hassaun. He's also got a keen eye when it comes to dagger-throwing and he's currently trying to teach it Lime. Rin seems to know pretty well sign language because he can communicate with Salty "fluently" when there is something to discuss not out loud.

This story is gonna be rewritten

His clan was one of the closest ones to the Wyrmwound - the center of the Scarred Wastelands. It was a large cavern inside of a twisted pile of living shrubs. Despite its repulsive appearance, it was very cozy and warm. It was his Homelair. He was always disobedient and strong willed Imperial, and the thing he loved the most was:
"Two 6s" He said to the loser with a sassy tone. Defeated dragon reclutantly gave him her treasure. Imperial flipped a coin in his paw and grinned to himself with satisfation. Pearlcatcher quickly left, ashamed and frustrated. The winner hid his money in a sack on his chest and heard a footsteps behind him.
"My, you sure are not messing around, brother. If you keep this up, all my friends will stop hanging out with me." He wrapped his dices in the rug. His sister came closer and sat behind him.
"Maybe I could play with you one day?" He turned around with smiling face and said:
"No, thank you. I don't think a pregnant women needs stress and anger over losing at this moment. Besides, I only play with the best so I won't get down in the rank, and it's a lot more fun to do it with experts than with a greenhorn like you, Sil." She had a pouty expression and turned her head in the other direction in dissatisfaction.
"Hmpf, just because I'm pregnant doesn't mean I have to be treated like a grandma, who'll get a heart attack over some cards." He laughed and sit on front of her.
"So, how many of them will it be this time?" He asked and looked at her swelled stomach. Silver had a confused expression.
"How on earth am I suppose to know that?" He looked at her with questioning eyes.
"You predicted the outcome twice now, so you can be right this time, too. Who knows, maybe you're an undiscovered medium?" She smiled happily, and she stroked her paw on her belly.
"I'm guessing 3 or 4, but it'll definitely be more than just one, it's too heavy for that." This was not a good news for him, last thing he want is another bunch of brats following him all the time, but happy look on his sister face was enough for him to accept once again all those loud pipsqueks. He was about to be an uncle for the 3rd time now, so he kind of got used to them running around everywhere you could least expect.
plague_rune.png
"You honestly don't have to be here everyday, you know? Even Me and Ehrde aren't visiting it as often as you, Brother." Silver gently smiled and patted him on his head. The giant cloud of steam was completely covering them and reducing visibility, so she actually pat his neck.
"But you should. You never know when it'll hatch, and the first person it smells should be you." He touched the surface of the egg, it was sticky and very warm. She touched it as well, and saw that he's holding something in his paw.
"Well, well, what do we have here? A stubborn and sour Rin decided to give a present to a "lil' brat" he hates so much?" She had a very sassy expression. He turned his head in other direction and just mumled under his breath.
"...Maybe it's too late for you to be the best gambler, but I think this small pest can learn a thing or two from a Master... Of course if you want your kid to be such a corrupted, cheeky and talented beast like me." He slightly laughed. Silver poked him in the forhead and said:
" So, now I'm not pregnant but just too old, gee you're mean brother." She pouted and smiled.
"But what about your dices? You really willing to give them?" He standed up and said with a obvious tone:
"Are you serious? I'm not giving them to anyone. I'll just sculp the new ones for it."
The steamy atmosphere and haze was a typical view around the noon. Sun was not visable, but it was still hot and the ground was amost melting under his paws. Summer was almost ending, but the weather was still the same as at the begging. He was snooping around The Abiding Boneyard, with a bandana around his head and fanning himself with the warm wind in the air.
*It's a lot hotter than I expected. I feel like I'm gonna collapse from dehydration if I won't find this damn ribcage any faster!" He was flying a few meters above the ground, with a sour expression and the sweat pouring from his short beard on the pulsing subsoil.
*I do wonder when that lil' pest will hatch... It's been a week since sis gave birth, and it's the only one who hasn't come out yet. Still, their parents are getting impatient, and so does everyone actually. I mean, they're encumbering the free spot in the hatchery, while there is many other moms who are ready to gave birth now.* He softly landed in front of a giant skeleton of a guardian and wipped sweat off his forehead.
"This kid should better be made out of gold when it finally gets its lazy arse out of there!" He cheekly grinned, looking skeleton in the eyesockets, and slowly began crashing the ribs into smaller pieces.
plague_rune.png
When he got back, it was already almost midnight. Everything was too dark, and he could only see his surrondings with the small lamp attached to his tail. Boneyard at night is the scariest thing you could see in the neighborhood, because it's the only part of the plague land where everything becames pitch black when the darkness falls. The Rotrock Rim is lighted with the glow from the Wyrmwound, so the lamp wasn't usefull anymore. He landed on the soft and warm entrance of his lair, he could see that it's Cooper's time to guard. He tried to just walk past him, without explaining where he was at this hour, but then he suddenly turned his head towards him and said with a stiff tone:
"My payment might decrease for letting you go out this late. Your mother was looking for you, so was your sister. I don't know what it was about, though." Copper turned his head back at the horizont with a plain expression and didn't said anything anymore.
*Thanks, I guess?* He thought, and went inside. He was trying to walk as quietly as possible, most of the dragons were already asleep. He went through a narrow passage that leads to his part of the lair, and saw his sister waiting for him. He sat down in front of her.
"Cooper said that you and mom were looking for me. Did something happened?" He had disturbed look. Silver deeply sighted and looked at him, with a very concerned look.
"I don't know where you were this afternoon, but I have some news for you..." She didn't look good, her tone was morose and completely different than usual.
"Misstress Sandnight didn't let us keep the egg in the nest anymore, so tommorow morning we'll be forced to take it out." She had a very wistful aura around her. He honestly couldn't understand why his Queen decided to do such thing.
"That's so cruel! You can't do it! It's just like a normal murder!" Something boiled up inside of him. He couldn't let that happen, for some reason he got quite attached to this egg, even if it was only for a moment, he was visiting it everyday and didn't want this child to die in such brutal way. His sister got up.
"Quiet brother, dragons are trying to sleep. Besides, the decision was already made, so there's nothing we can do than just follow orders." He got up as well and shouted in anger.
"I don't care about the other dragons! They should know about what's happening, you're trying to kill somebody!" A few dragons got up, gathered around them, and in fatigue tried to understand what's going on. Silver was slowly getting mad.
"This is going to be much better than sending it to serve the cruel Plaguebringer! It's still just a small child!" Why? He couldn't understand what he just heard. Serve the Godess? It's still just a kid, so why send it to do such hard task? He was questioning himself for a moment, but then he realized.
"Is that what happens to all the children who are born here, when the lair needs more space? You just abandon them like a piece of thrash?!" All the dragons were shocked, quietly whispering something to each other and looking at him with judging look in the eyes. Silver looked around, and saw that their parents were standing and looking at them as well. Such a humiliation. She turned towards her brother with a guilty expression.
"I somehow knew that one day you'll find out about this, but I never thought that you will be so touched. Sadly, this needs to be done, or we will eventually starve." She said with a somber voice. The whispers were echoing in the moisty and warm cavern. The lights of the torches were exposing an almost the whole lair, sitting and listening to this conversation.

He took out from his pocket a newly sculptured pair of dices and stroked them with his finger. They were shining in the light of torches. He looked up at his siters sorrow eyes, while her face was still serious.
"If you say that there is no room for anyone, then I'm leaving. I don't want to look at this viciousness ever again. I'll take this unchated lil' pest with me, though. I won't let you kill it." He said with a grave look in the eyes. Everyone stopped talking and silence occured. All the dragons had a thrilled expressions. This quiet pause was interrupted by distant and loud footsteps, of no one other than Sandnight herself. Everyone moved to make more room for her, and Small continued to intensly gazing at them. She standed right in front of him and Silver, her giant, shadowy posture was absolutely intimidating.
"...So, if I heard that right - You wish to leave your home lair, isn't that true?" Her killing gaze was pushing him into the ground, and her brutal tone was making him question his decision. Small was just observing the entire situation, and his glowing red eyes were frightening at night, especially in that mask.
*I never been this close to them in my entire life and I'm glad... this is absolutely paralyzing.* He gulped and bowed as low as he could, still holding dices in his paw.
"Yes, I do. I wish to, because it will be my way of helping this place in it's crisis. I beg you, Alpha." He kept on bowing, when Small gently chuckled and put his paw on his forehead.
"You smell like a solicitude. If you ask me: I support your decision and dedication." He looked up at the Sandnights uncertain face. She hasn't said anything and just closed her eyes, until she deeply sighned and decided with doubtfull tone:
"I am proud for Your sensitivness for this egg. If you truly are strong enough to survive on your own and guarantee safety for that unborn, then I have nothing left to say but: good luck." She slowly turned around and left, Small looked at him for a moment, and followed her back to their nest.
plague_rune.png
The fog outside cleared a bit in the strong light of the sun. A one last morning in his lair. He couldn't sleep at all, so he just walked around the cave and talked with his closest family whole night. When everyone was still asleep, he came to the hatchery and looked at the lonely egg lying in the acid. He put the glass container on the ground and sit next to the nest.
"Hey, lil' pest. It's me. You've caused me a lot of trouble but that's all right, take your time. I hope you said bye bye to your parents, because you won't be seeing them for a while... Or ever at all." His face turned all somber. He touched the shell of the egg and slightly pet it.
*I can tell that it's still warm inside, so there is no way that it's dead.* He reached out for the container and filled it with acid, and then carefully grabbed the egg and put it inside the glass box.
"Time to go, kiddo." He put the container on the back and made sure that it's in safe position. The portable nest looked like a backpack, and the glass was almost completely fogged. He wasn't sure if the egg is going to be warm enough, so before he left hatchery he covered the glass in rugs and fur.
The light and soft wind of the summer morning blew though his whiskers. The ground was pulsing beneath him. He turned around and took a one last look on the lair.
"Damn, I'm gonna miss this place. But there are sacrifices to be done, so no more time for sentimentality." He said to himself, and smiled cheerfully. The heat from the container was warming his back, and the rays of the sun were already awfully hot even in the morning.
plague_rune.png
He was slowly reaching the border of Scarred Wasteland and Starfall Isles. He had no idea where he's heading, but his main plan was to get on the ferry that leads to the Southern Icefield, because his friend lived there. He didn't want to intrude himself, especially because he had an unborn kid with him, but he didn't had much of a choice. It was his fault for irresponcibly accepting this deal.
"Man, it might have not been as good as I first thought it would be. I can already hear her, saying with that sassy tone of her: "I told you. You are absolutely irresponsible, Rinny". He sighted and looked down. There was a brown dragon walking around the border.
"Who on earth is this?" He flew down and landed behind the weird dragon. He was looking at the pulsing membranes and humming to himself. *Ugh, what a creep! I might regret going near him. He had a ominous aura around him.* He slowly approached him, and carefully asked: "What are you doing here and who are you?" The stranger looked around and stick out his tongue. It was a Coalt.
"Hmm? I'm just visiting, that's about it. I've heard that this land leaves an unforgettable sensation, so i got curious and I must say, it sure is horrofying. Haha...". The unknown gently smiled and putted his paws in the pockets of his long, brown coat.
"I guess... But there are many other and way nicer places to see." He looked at the Wyrmwound in the distant horizont. The stranger looked at his back, and asked with curious look.
"My, my, looks like were both going to visit some places. Where are you heading?" Is it alright to even answer him, he might start following them.
"That's none of your business." He answered with a sour expression. Coalt smiled and improved his hat.
"Sorry, I just got curious. Let's hope that you two will find the place you're looking for. Be seeing you." He said with a mysterious tone, and jumped down and walked towards the center of the plague land. He actually didn't notice this before.
*Wait... How did he knew about the egg? Good lord... What a weirdo.* The sky on the other side was a lot more cleaner, and the sun was rising up. He looked at the Scarred Wasteland with lonesome eyes for one last time, and lightly jumped down the border.
