Albireo was once one of the Lightweaver's attendants, but a horrible accident at the Beacon left her shade-touched. She now struggles to stay in control of herself, and she's left to cure her affliction the only way she knows: learning everything she can. 		chaos.png
"Al! Al, can you hear me?"

Albireo blinked open her eyes to see her partner, his hands placed on either side of her face. He was shaking. As the rest of the library came into focus, she saw other dragons cowering behind bookshelves and furniture. The ground beneath her was coated in a thick, dark ash, and the book she last remembered herself holding was nowhere to be seen. "There you are, darling. It's okay, I've got you. Everything's okay." Cygnus pulled her closer, and she embraced him in return.

"It took over again, didn't it?" Albireo asked. Her partner didn't answer, but the tension in his body told her all she needed to know. "I'm sorry. I will fight it. I think I'm getting close to finding a way to stop it."

"It's getting worse by the day," a pearlcatcher spoke up. He flinched when Albireo turned to him, as if expecting her to lunge at him. "I don't want to be a downer, but... if this keeps up, there won't be a library to search anymore."

She steeled her gaze. "Then I'll just have to search faster. I'm not giving up."

Chalcedony's library is where Albireo does most of her research, in hopes of healing from her affliction. No matter how many dragons shun her, she knows that she will always be welcome there.

Albireo once worked alongside Sapph, but after the accident, Sapph was tasked with finding and destroying her - the fate of all shade-touched creatures. Albireo prays that she'll find a cure first.
