Lucina serves as the clan's defensive spellcaster, cooking up a variety of different spells and incantations that help provide protection of the clan territory from a variety of threats. This includes hostile Beastclan members as well as more mundane things such as weather and high winds. She also helps create simple protections for clan members who have left to go hunting, gathering, or fishing, and provides spell bases for the more advanced magicians of the clan such as Gargoyle, who prepares more complex protections for clan Guard members about to head into battle.

Despite her expertise at defensive spells, Lucina does not consider herself a real magician - her knowledge of other fields of magic is rudimentary at best, only enough to help improve her signature spells. When clan members seek her out for magic advice, she usually points them towards another member with more magic skill.

o r i g i n s

Lucina was born within the Cloudsong, and is not one to venture far from her own home, comfortable in its familiarity. She had spent her childhood riding the winds of the Cloudsong, enjoying how feather light they made her feel, and getting a sense of the landscape high up in the air at the same time - knowledge that contributed to her expertise at casting defensive spells. When her parents abandoned her to join their higher calling to the Windsinger, Lucina was left on her own to quickly learn how to protect herself. Her basic knowledge of magic as well as keen sense of landscape helped her quickly form her own unique defensive methods, methods and spells she improved over time.

p e r s o n a l i t y and a p p e a r a n c e

Lucina has a fairly jovial and laid back personality, taking delight in the simpler things, including her work, her children, and her relationship with her mate Haku. She is an excellent conversationalist, able to talk for hours about relatively mundane things while making the topics seem much more important than they really are. She is also very detail-oriented, planning out more complex defensive spells meticulously and checking them over obsessively in order to make sure the spells turn out correctly. Her greatest failing is her lack of ambition; she has no desire to explore the outside world or expand her magic abilities, content with her clan and simple spells.

Lucina's appearance is also relatively simple; she bears no complex markings, only a lovely fade from deep purple to a more pinkish color on her wings, and her apparel is also not very complex. She wears no jewelry except for a flower bracelet and a large and enchanted wooden necklace with runes painted on each bead (meant to represent her personality traits) that help imbibe her magic spells with a little of her own essence - something that strengthens them considerably. She also wears a wing guard to protect her feathers on long flights, and a pair of breeches and a bandana for comfort.

Lucina met Haku wandering the Windswept Plateau, and was immediately struck by his beauty and felt a strong desire to make him her mate. While Haku was reluctant to speak to her at first, the two immediately began to get along handsomely and this drew him to her.

While Lucina occasionally gets annoyed with Haku's constant judgement of other dragons, she believes in his innocence of the crime he was accused of committing and still supports his pursuit of justice.

Lucina's partner is Siam, a helpful Baku that she met while traveling. Siam enjoys teaching Lucina new magical tricks, and Lucina enjoys learning from her unusual teacher. The two enjoy a pleasant and easy company, although Lucina is unsure Siam will stick around once he has taught her all the magic he can.
