Biography
Aqua
Aqua had a sense of adventure at an early age, some saying she was ready to explore the minute she was hatched. Her parents on the other hand, had a very, very strong dislike for it. They always said it was too dangerous, or made an excuse for Aqua to stay home in the calm and (relatively) quiet Tsunami Flats. However, this just made her long even more for the sea. She could almost taste the salty air as she imagined herself sailing through the biggest storms, and even the quietest waters. She would do anything to go to the sea. But, she had to obey her parents. Every night, she would lie in bed, dreaming of the day when she could finally answer the call of the tide that constantly rung in her head. moons had passed as Aqua had grown into a young adult at this point. Even though she was older now, her parents still said no. At least her parents would let her play outside. But, she never had friends to play with there, as most dragons her age were off on daring adventures.
"psst~" A voice said, hiding from inside a tidal pool. It sounded
"Hello? Who's there?" Aqua's sense of curiosity sparked inside of her. She imagined all the things it could be. A ghost? Beastclan warriors? Pirates? No, that's ridiculous! she told herself. She needed to snap back into her common sense and just wait to see who- or what it was.
"Hey!" A Skydancer's teal head popped up from inside the pool.
"Hi there! My name's Aqua, it's nice to meet you!"
"I'm Anne." She replied, before hushing her voice. "Do you know somewhere here I could hide out? You see, I kinda ran away from my parents..." She cut off there, not wanting to share too many details.
"Why would you do that? Don't your parents love you?" Aqua had to admit to herself that she's being a bit nosy. But, she wanted to know so badly. She wondered if Anne's parents might have been similar to hers in a way..
"Not really, well, at least not my dad.. He always said I was satisfactory. Nothing was ever good for him, and I would get yelled at for every little mistake. If it wasn't perfect, it was just.. satisfactory. I hated it. I didn't want to stay there anymore, so I just ran.." You could hear the sadness in her voice, as she regretted some parts of her decision.
"That's terrible... But at the same time, you're lucky. I wish I could run away on a pirate ship and sail the seas! But, my parents would never let me do that." Aqua sighed, looking towards the vast ocean with her glimmering eyes.
"You know, I've always wanted to go to the sea as well, and maybe... well, maybe become a pirate."
"A pirate?! Wow! Like, treasure-hunting, swashbuckling pirates?" Aqua was filled with excitement from hearing just that one little word. Oh what an adventure that would be!
Anne nodded. "But I don't want to go alone.. I'm too scared..."
And it was then that Aqua had an idea. "How about we run away to the sea together? We both could sail the seas, and be the best pirates to ever live!"
She smiled. "It sounds like fun! Let's go!" She laughed, before racing off to the sea, with Aqua following behind.
Even though the pair left their homes and families, they knew in their heart that it was the right thing to do. Anne renamed herself to Anne Bonny, after Aqua gave her a hat and would always joke that it was a bonnet. They grew to love one another through their daring adventures on the seas, always excited for a new adventure.
The tides were turning... for the better.
