Hani

People see how water flows, and they think it soft. Adaptable, perhaps, but pliant. They forget its weight. They see that it is clear, and forget what unfathomable terrors its depths may hide.

The river chooses the path of least resistance, but it will carve its course through stone. Engineers of the Tempest Spire use water to cut, and there is little that the floodwaters will not carry away when they rise. Even a seemingly tranquil river may drag you down and silently drown you.

If you want to understand Hani, you must understand the weight of water. They are no less deadly for their serenity.


They left the clan of their birth seeking experience. Henare was looking for warriors for her clan, and Hani was looking to become stronger. They don't regret their decision, but they do miss the Sea of a Thousand Currents.

Hani is the clan's strongest warrior after Henare herself. The walls of their quarters are decorated with an impressive array of sharp things people have tried to kill them with, a collection which makes any visitors to their chambers extremely uncomfortable.

In battle, Hani is swift and elegant, flowing from one attack to the next with precision and efficiency. Their graceful skill is the perfect complement to Henare's reckless but devastating charges; the whirlwind and the tsunami, they make the perfect team.
