Because right now, I'm all out of time and room in my heart to care." - Mikasa Ackermann (ミカサ・アッカーマン) is the adoptive sister of Eren Jaeger, and is the main female protagonist of the series. After her biological parents were murdered by bandits, she was rescued by Eren and lived with him and his mother and father before the Fall of Wall Maria. Though she desires only to live a peaceful life with Eren, Mikasa, along with Armin Arlelt chose to follow him into the military—where she is considered the best soldier among the 104th Cadet Corps, ranking 1st amongst the top 10. She later joined the Scouting Legion to continue following and protecting Eren. Mikasa later discovered that she was not the last to bear the Ackermann name, as it was revealed by a man named Kenny that not only did he bear the Ackermann name as well, but Levi, who was Kenny's nephew, and one of the Scouting Legion's best veterans, shared the same family name as the girl, revealing their familial relations to each other. It was also revealed that the Ackermann clan was immune to the mind-controlling abilities of the Founding Titan, and thus were the only people who had knowledge of the Eldian world before the memories of the Eldian people were wiped. As of current, she remains to be one of the Scouting Legion's best, and continues to fight alongside Eren through thick and thin. |
