Strawberry is obsessed with her own beauty, and incredibly selfish. She despised her mate for his ugly colors and for being a disgusting mirror. She insisted that she could not possibly love him until he breed-changed into a fae, and changed his colors into something prettier. Disgusted by all of their gray offspring, Strawberry sent all of them away, disowning them and denying that they even were hers. Her vanity and obsession with her appearance rivals that of a coatl. She prided herself on being the prettiest dragon in her clan. She would spend hours preening in the mirror.

However, she was punished for her vanity, and for her cruelty towards her mate and children. Black stains began to mar her white body and pink wings. Her unattractive personality manifested itself as a green sludge in her belly. She would outwardly become ugly, to reflect all of her internal ugliness. Disgusted by how ugly she had become, she insisted that it was a curse. She desperately sought out apparel and accents in order to hide her ugly appearance.

Everyone treated her as if she was a stranger. The only one who recognized her was Cider, and he was shocked at the sight of her. Strawberry hid herself away from the rest of the clan, so that none of them could see the dreadful state of her. She lashed out cruelly at her mate, jealous that he was now far more beautiful than her, and because she believed her curse came about as a result of her forcing him to change for her. She drained her clan's savings on scrolls that promised to make her beautiful once again. But each scroll only changed her colors for the worse.

Finally, Cider brought her a scroll to change her colors once again. This scroll almost, but not quite, returned her to how she started off. Strawberry lamented that her skin and wings were still ugly and covered in these awful patterns. In a fit of rage directed at her own reflection, Strawberry tore apart her own wings. Better to be flightless than to live with them tainted by these black stains. She then turned to her own skin and started tearing at that. When Cider saw what she had done, he intervened and convinced her to stop attacking herself. He insisted that he doesn't care what she looks like, and neither will anyone else. But Strawberry only agreed to stop when Cider promised to help make her beautiful again.

So Cider began to gather the things needed to brew a scroll that would fix the markings on her body. As for her wings, they were in tatters. It broke Cider's heart to see them in such a state. So he set to work, teaching himself how to sew, and collecting any pretty fabric he could find. He stitched together a new pair of wings for Strawberry. She decided that they were acceptable. She took the scrolls and new wings without so much as a thank-you.

Strawberry is still the same cruel, vain, mean dragon she always was. She treats her loyal mate like dirt. She still rejects and sends away her own hatchlings that she decides are too ugly to stay in her clan. She has learned nothing from her curse. She simply found a way around it. Because "Beauty always finds a way."
