Despite being an outsider, Nova is a trusted companion and advisor to the clan. Though she was not greeted with open arms. Most addressed Nova with scrutiny and mistrust, given her aptitude towards poisons and shady rumors surrounding her for assassinating clan leaders with carefully concocted venom in meat.

As it turned out, the mistrust was not merited without good reason: Nova had been initially sent to the clan to assassinate its budding leader, Eponi. However, Nova grew fond of Eponi, severing her contract and stayed as, ironically enough, the clan apothecary.
