Cold.
That was the first thing that came to his mind. He was cold. Then, immediately after, came the second thing. He was trapped. He was trapped and couldn't move. But why, why was he cold and why was he trapped, why why why did it all feel so so wrong? Around him he felt ice. Felt? That seemed about right, he supposed. He felt the ice, but it was wrong, somehow. It felt.. dead, almost. He didn't really know how ice could be dead, but it fit. Anyway, back to his current predicament. He was trapped. But why? Nothing came up in his mind. Could he get out? Should he get out? If he was trapped, it must've been for a good reason, right? Right? Somehow he got the feeling that wasn't the case. He was getting sick of not being able to move anyway. So, getting out he was. Crrack. A sound of something breaking and the rattling of chains. That must've been what trapped him. Now, to exit this cave(?). He wasn't sure if it even was a cave, but it was underground at the very least. No places for sunlight to enter, so how was he planning to get out? How did he even get in here if there were no exits? No exits.. that couldn't be right. Wait.. what was that gleam he spotted at the edge of his vision? A runestone? It had a crossed out symbol on it. Some spirals? Clan, his mind helpfully supplied. What did that mean? No clan? No clan what? It probably had more meaning than that, but nothing came to mind. Maybe it was the key to getting out? He didn't really see anything else that could help. He touched the rune, and the stone started to glow. He had no idea what that meant, but at least it was progress. Maybe he should trace the symbol? That seemed to do the trick, as the runestone started giving off a strong light. Suddenly, the not-cave shook, and an opening formed on the ceiling. Through it came bright, bright light, hurting his eyes. Whatever, at least he could get out now. Oh. Oh. Oh no. No no no no no no no no no- Everything was gone. Only a strong, rotting smell permeated the air. He was starting to regret coming up here. |
