Dream

Contrary to his name, Dream did not, well, dream.

He didn’t sleep at all, in fact. He couldn’t remember when it started — and frankly didn’t want to — but all he knew now was that sleeping would hurt him, and he couldn’t tell this to anyone.

So he didn’t. He learned to make his own energy *****, acted like he wasn’t exhausted all of the time, and tried not to feel too jealous whenever anyone talked about sleeping in his hearing range.

Let them think he was stingy about ‘slacking off’ by sleeping. He’d rather not let it show that he was envious that they got to enjoy the feeling of being fully relaxed and at peace.

But all things had to end eventually, and Dream knew he had to stop this habit one day.

One day, he’d have to close his eyes and drift off.

One day, he’d have to face what remained in his mind.



Hmm. This one is a strange creature.

He appears to have a sort of power beyond our own, one that has potential for... outstanding results. It may either be a blessing or a curse to have him so nearby. For now, that remains unknown and insignificant.

What is important is how the ability sets him apart from the rest.

He has a gift. Some unique ability we cannot make sense of. He tries to tell the clan, but they refuse to believe him. When I question him, he shivers in fear and does not speak. I do not know what information he is hiding, but he knows that I cannot dispose of him that easily.

It was a spark of inspiration when Amadeus brought a woodbasket from the Trading Post. He and Valiant pondered how it's wooden structure curved around anyone's waist as if it were sentient. I was watching and had then figured out how to keep Dream.

Celestial ropes from the ground kept him at my mercy. They would hold strong, like a curse upon him. Never again would he try to fly away if he was restrained to the earth. He would only notice them when he attempted to take off, for being rooted to one spot would hinder his ability to use his ability.

Despite all my efforts, he will not speak...

Further aggravating me is the fact that this one will not choose between darkness and light. Kaius has instead taken him under his wing. No matter how much I lure him to me, his loyalty remains steadfast.

What a fool.
