Hatchling

Apollo comes from a long line of noble dragons that pride themselves on their bright pink range colors.
Everybody in his family liked to dress in lavish apparel that highlighted their colorful scales.

Except for him.

As a hatchling, Apollo hated the pampered lifestyle, hated the bright colors and above all else he hated being called “cute”.
He remembers biting and clowing some dragon when they called him a “cute pink cloud”.

Dragon

When he learned to fly, Apollo immediately left his family and clan.
He traveled to various locations trying to find a new clan to join. However, no one was willing to take him in, sighting his bright color and lack of fighting skills.

Also his temper.

Disappointed and frustrated, Apollo persisted to the point that clans started to warn one another about him.

Apollo went from wanting to join the most powerful and well-known clans to just wanting some company.

His wish was granted as a joyful tundra asked him to join his clan. He accepted.

The clan was new and rather inexperienced but Apollo didn’t mind. What he didn’t like was the numerous best clans surrounding there territory.

They would constantly get robed by beast clans causing food shortages.
It made him extremely angry and one night he outlined a plan to get rid of them. But he needed help as he couldn’t do it alone. Two other dragons, Riko and Bara, feed up with constant raids, decided to assist him.

All tree dragons stared their attacks on the beast clans.
During those attacks, Apollo found his true calling: strategizing. He discovered that he liked coming up with new methods to surprise attack their enemies. While he wasn’t good at close combat, Apollo was a good mage and healer, often aiding Riko and Bara as they fought.

There weren’t all victories.

At first, they would lose constantly, returning bruised or wounded. But that only embolden Apollo to try again. And again. Until they won. One by one all best clans were either drove far away from the clan’s territory or outright destroyed.

They continued to fight long after neighboring beast clans were gone, bringing back any food, trinkets and apparel they would find. Sometimes they even brought back former beast clan members that wanted to join them. They started wearing any armor they found to better protect against projectiles.

Apollo didn’t realize that the clan had doubled in size. He was to focused on fighting to notice.
Only when Riko told him that he needed to stay behind to protect the others, did he realize.

Apollo wears armor that covers almost all his body in an attempt to hide his bright colors.
He takes the armor off only when it needs repairs.

Some dragons joke that only Sirius has the honor of seeing his bright pink scales.
