Marius is often called a "wild" dragon, and his appearance can back up that title fairly well. Despite it often being used as an insult, Marius quite enjoys the nicknames passersby give him, as it makes him feel like he's standing out of the crowd and is being given attention. The Coatl can often be found spray painting very colorful graffiti that is often hurtful to the eye, and despite the many complaints he's received Marius considers it his passion and refuses to let it go.

The constant sense of no one appreciating his work has begun to wear the dragon down, and he has been traveling across Sornieth to find some appreciation for his work. He found this in the clan's artist, Nocere. Marius was intrigued by the painter fairly quickly due to Nocere's appearance, as he was as painful to the eye as Marius's own art. The two bonded over their passion for art, and Maris took joy in Nocere's compliments towards his art. Despite wanting to feel 'cool' and popular, he doesn't act like a dragon that has an inflated ego; he is usually very sweet towards those around him but can get overly defensive about himself. Nocere likes to tease the Coatl by calling him "Mari" for short, which bugs Marius to no end. Despite this, he's come to adore the calm artist and uses him as inspiration for his pieces every now and then. Some dragons have said that there is an old ruined wall somewhere in the world where there is a painting of Nocere with a signature that looks suspiciously like Marius's. |

Nocere has tried to get Marius to switch from using buildings as his canvas to using an actual canvas, as Nocere worries that no one will pay attention to his graffiti, it's not portable, and could possibly be destroyed. Although Marius disagrees, he has still grown the habit of drawing on canvas every now and then as it can be a nice change of pace. He has also tried to get Nocere to paint on buildings, but between spraying himself in the face and not liking the building texture on his brush, Marius doesn't see Nocere taking graffiti up anytime soon. While Nocere collaborates with other artists, Marius only collaborates with the Coatl and competes with the other artists in the clan. The main dragon whom he competes with is Secus, who considers each other as rivals. Although Marius is kind to everyone, he especially has a soft spot for Nocere, whom the clan suspects is in a relationship with Marius. The two have never confirmed nor denied it, but it is safe to assume that they are. |
