notes for lore if I ever stop being stupid and write it
-- The Jewler
-- bigger than average spiral, like imp size
-- makes jewlery and lanterns from precious gems and metals. also thwir body is filled with geodes or crystals or something... they carved the big moon and all the lanterns from their own body.
--- they have a mouth, but can't see it b/c of the angle of their lantern head. (i'll draw it later) the bottom of the lantern unhinges to make a jaw (with little metal/crystal teeth) but the inside of them is all black and goopy and space-y. when the goop hardens it becomes crystal, like that of the moon and lanterns
--- nonbinary, awkward, clingy, v friendly, rambles for hours,,,, likes, f a s h i o n
--- their voice sounds like it's being heard through a old broken radio, staticy and soft, kind of broken up as if the connection keeps failing (especially when excited/distressed)
---scales/body is fluid, patches of crystal (opal gene) move around on their dark starry scales
---when they get angry/emotionally distressed their physical form starts distorting, all parts of their body except the hardened crystal/metal parts get goopy, drippy, and more fluid.

A screech.
Glass shatters in the darkness. A shadow that howls and glimmers.
Then Light. Stars on golden twine fall like raindrops, like reaching hands, like
smiles, from the dark.
They glimmer they beckon they sing. Sing, sing. A song blisters and shivers against your ears,
yet finds you leaning ever closer. The yearn to wait forever here swirls thick in your gut. It should frighten you, but the stars – deep within, you are terrified – stars, jewels, glimmering and shining, you watch and a fierce serenity drowns you.
A form coalesces from the dark. Bits of silvered gold laced together into scales, flesh. The stars mesh impossibly into the creature and it's
Burning, to look at. Yet heavenly, so heavenly. You wish to look at nothing else.
Delicate webs of gold and copper and pearl sway as the being floats just breathes infront of you. The glow of reflected, refracted light is sweetly, nauseatingly, beautiful. The glow, the heat of stars bouncing off of eachother.
