"We weren't expecting you so soon on account of the blizzard. It is good to see you safe." The Fae tells you with a smile on his fins. The little dragon flutters to a table nearby and lands on one of the wicker chairs around it. He gestures for you to sit across from him and he extends a clawed hand, looking eager to look over your manifesto. You hand it over first after sitting yourself and watch the Fae's eyes dance across the documents, darting from side to side at a speed that's almost comical.
You ask him if he's changed the price he trades his wares for. You haven't been there in a hot minute and while you doubt they'd change anything to their policies, you never know how desperate the war will make them.
"We're still offering standard market price or whatever's the lowest on the auction house." The response is curt and the quartermaster eyes you warily. A lot of merchants aren't fond of this pricing system and he seems to think you're asking because you're hoping for more profit. He's probably had to deal with a few shrewd individuals and is worried you've changed your views on their policies. You assure him it's not the case and that you're still fine with the ways things are run. He seems relieved for a moment but his fins flare as they reach the bottom of the manifesto. You meet his glare with a sheepish smile.
"We do not take bribes." He tells you angrily. You know he wants to add more as it's not the first time you've had this conversation.
"It's not a bribe, it's a donation."
He is not amused.
"You won a tombola?"
His fins twitch.
"The contents of my magician's hat spilled out?"
"No bribes!" He almost yells and slams the manifesto on the table, fins twitching in irritation. A few dragons are startled by the outburst but seeing you're the culprit, they merely roll their eyes and shake their heads. It's not the first time you try to slip in a few freebies but you're never really successful in making Bicerin accept them, no matter how many times you explain that it's not a bribe. You're certain he knows, too, because there's never any bite behind his outrage so you decide to push it this time.
"Come on, now, Bicerin, you know us better than that. There's got to be some way we can contribute to your cause without having to take something in return. I know Teller's Rise values its pride but I thought you were pragmatic as well." You see his expression change but he doesn't reply outright and you feel giddy about your victory.
"Alright. Fine." he snaps. "Outfit catalogues, furnishings and untrained recruits." You can't help but smile in triumph. Gods but you've worked hard for this. "Anything else we'll trade for and there will be no more negotiation on that front!" You raise your hands in surrender although your smug expression leaves no doubt you'll be touching the subject again soon enough.
"Knikt will take care of the trade, I have a few things to sort out." He gestures to a familiar fae nearby. "I will catch up with you later. You and your escort are free to take advantage of our hospitality in the meantime." He hands the manifesto to the other dragon, who smiles at you.
" 'Right. We've got more than enough fer this trade." He assures you, taking you deeper in the warehouse. "I can see you need some flowerfalls here? I reckon we've got one or two left. Right this way!"
Trade List
Tl;dr: Everything Teller's Rise needs will be compiled below. This is a worksheet as much as a tradesheet so its contents will change frequently. I am not interested in purchasing items for currency: if that was the case I would buy it outright. I'm willing to trade for mp price or LAH, whichever is the lowest. For those who insist about giving me discounts *cough*Ali*cough*, I am willing to purchase seasonnal items at their marketplace prices and chest/coli exclusive apparel at a price more akin to those of similar recolours.
I am willing to trade for anything listed below although there are a few things I'm willing to take for free: Outfits for my dragons, apparel pieces under 10g/kt a piece, art of my dragons/characters and fodder.Everything else will be considered a bribe and will be traded for. I'm still very much invested in the game but it'll be a while before I can get back fully because of real life. My stance was always that if I could get it on my own with a bit of elbow grease, then there was no reason for me to get it for free. That's not so the case anymore, so until I can invest more on here, I'm not going to fight against gifts.
