Biography
When Pine's mate exalted to the Arcanist, she made her way to the place of his birth, the Shifting Expanse. It was there that she found her Wildwood Owl, who happened to belong to Dian's clan. The Wildwood Owl apparently used to belong to a Nature Spiral named Alarune, who had left the clan but spent a very long time with them and the familiar.
Pine could not bear to see the Wildwood Owl in distress, so she asked Dian to join the clan and Dian accepted.
Pine is a nurturing, motherly sort of dragon who knows a great deal about plants and flowers. She also excels at nurturing magic, such as spells for safe breeding and the like. The only other two Nature dragons older than her, Cel and Katti, aren't very adept at it while Pele and Neia are too young. Thus, Dian asked Pine to help out with all breedings in the clan and she accepted gratefully.
While mature and nurturing, Pine is also rather scientifically blunt when talking about plants or health, which sometimes leads to the embarrassment of dragons seeking her advice. She sees the wonder in all living things and functions, and nothing is more beautiful to her than a healthy hatchling.
Sometimes Pine thinks of her children and a sad nostalgia washes over her. "Let the past lay in the past," she says when asked, "it's no use digging up a tree's roots just to see how they grew."
Though much older than her mate Karri, the two are inseparable. He's young and rather rash at times, and Pine lets him make his own mistakes but is always there to help him fix them.
Now when she closes her eyes, she no longer sees the cyan eyes of her Wildclaw mate of the past, but Karri's, embraced by the loveliest emerald gems.
