The Master Smith

SUMMARY
Born to a small clan of dragons where the Windswept Plateau met the Ashfall Waste, Tyrsora grew up surrounded by traditions and cultures from both flights. When she expressed interest in blacksmithing as she came of age, Tyrsora left to study under some of the master smiths of the Waste. She spent many years honing her skills and learning techniques from the best the flight had to offer, until the political turmoil in the Waste grew too great. Tyrsora decided to return to her home flight, bringing her knowledge with her.

Tyrsora had developed an idea for a new, unique forge utilizing wind magic, but needed a clan to support her financially. After a long search she found Clan Rivensong, which needed a smith and agreed to fund her experiments. A few years later, she managed to develop the Gale Forge, the only place in Sorneith where steel and wind are combined to form the clan's legendary singing steel.

HISTORY

Tyrsora spent her apprenticeship among the lava forges of the Ashfall Waste, learning from the best dragons she could find. Her own skill quickly grew, and her weapons and armor quickly became known across the flight. As political tension grew within the Great Furnace, though, it quickly became apparent that both the Magmablood Rebellion and the forgemasters they opposed desired her skills. Tyrsora instead chose to leave the flight in order to develop a new forge theory.

Sponsored by Clan Rivensong, Tyrsora was able to develop her experimental wind forge while creating traditional weapons for the clan's raiders. Soon, she was able to create her first singing steel. The unique weapons quickly became a symbol of pride and status among clan members. Only members who are a part of Rivensong may carry weapons made of the steel, which they receive when they are inducted into the clan or come of age. Tyrsora herself guards the techniques used to create the steel jealously- until she finds a dragon worthy to be her apprentice, she will remain the only dragon to know its secrets.

Tyrsora often keeps to herself, spending most of her time forging new singing steel for the clan or traditional weapons for sale to non-clan members. A gruff and stoic dragon, Tyrsora nonetheless harbors a soft spot for baked goods and warm tea- on cold nights, her forge shares space with Tugo's pottery and Nivenor's tea.
