As dragons living near the Rainsong Jungle know, fallen trees will inevitably turn into something... else. All attempts possible will be made to burn any tree felled near a clan within the first three or four moons; after that, you're on your own. Zida was, at one point, a particularly vivacious linden near the edge of the Shrieking Wilds — they grew tall, drank deep of the sun, stretched out to feel their neighbors in the soft, loamy soil. One year, they found themself with company; a passing trader's sack had split, spilling some rare seeds near her trunk; they'd grown into a pleasantly aromatic creeping rose, which draped itself elegantly across their branches. They were quite pleased with this development, and settled their roots comfortably around their new adornment. (to be completed at a later date — struck by lightning, turned into a dragon, discovered by Newt on a foraging mission) __________________
