Biography
The Warrior
Cassiopeia originated from a small wind clan and was sent as a scout to seek out new people and places. She travelled far from her home, wandering the wastelands of the Abiding Boneyard for years. Lost and alone, she was attacked by bandits and had to fend them off on her own. Ran and Tarnse hovered around the border of the Boneyard, watching from a distance as a single imperial took on a small army alone. The two travelers were shocked as the seemingly meek dragon parried every strike and tore her attackers limb from limb effortlessly. In the bloody aftermath of the battle, Ran approached cautiously to speak with the horrified victor. Cassiopeia curled in on herself, and the terrifying monster that had torn apart the bandits seemed to retreat under the force of her remorse. She saw Ran watching her curiously, saw the fear that was carefully locked away beneath a wide smile. Tarnse soon followed and stood at Ran’s side, face blank as ever. The duo offered her a place beside them, and vowed to share shelter and food as long as she would fight by their sides, as well as promising to help her cure her gembond, which was slowly encroaching on her limbs and preventing her from turning her head. Cassiopeia, though she hated how she lost control while fighting, agreed at the prospect of companionship and a cure for gembond. Ran and Tarnse led the way out of the Boneyard and to the border between Plague and Arcane. The nomadic clan now stood four strong, as Leafsong rejoined her travelling companions at the border.
True to their word, Ran and Tarnse eventually found Hadron and Lepton, whose slightly unhinged experiments eventually resulted in a cure for gembond. No longer immobilized, she became one of the clan’s greatest fighters, defending against threats from the Beastclans and monsters, as well as any other dragons who might try to claim their territory. Her prowess in battle is unbelievable; nobody knows how she became so unnaturally strong. Cassiopeia carefully hides the source of her strength, guarding it with fear for both herself and others.
She refuses to speak of it, but those who pay close attention would notice that the dark patches on her wings shift under her skin like tendrils of smoke. The Cult of the Shade has no idea that a remnant of the thing they worship is right in front of them...
