The Universe waits for no one. At least that's what Caelus had always believed, ever since they were a hatchling they longed for the stairs and spent endless nights wandering in the eyes of the cosmos. Once, while they were out by themselves in their stellar garden, they were approached by a large imperial. Time seemed to stand still as Caelus ignored them patiently, waiting for them to grow with a similar impatience and leave them alone. However, as time passed there seemed to be no waver, not even a slight falter. This continued until after what seemed like hours, Caelus gave in to the never ending stare of the golden imperial.
"Who are you, and why are you here?" They started, slightly ticked off since they had just been bested by a stranger.
"My name is Dante, and I saw you in my dreams." The imperial now known as Dante said, swishing their tail in satisfaction.
"Okay? But that isn't an excuse to stare at me creepily!" Caelus huffed, stomping just gently enough to raise a bit of dust.
"Ah, I beg your pardon then, I just wanted to see you before the inevitable." Dante said solemnly, leaving it off there as the frustrated coatl settled back down, and they began their talk.
