Snow would like to make one thing very clear: she is not her father. She isn't some wishy-washy, overbearing fool, who cries at every sob story no matter how obviously fake it is.

Snow knows how the world works, and spoilers: most people hate you. Most people don't give a damn about your hobbies, or your achievements, or your struggles because your mom died and she was one of the only people who you trusted-

Anyway.

The world doesn't run on kindness. It runs on drama. Even the nicest individual is probably a venomous snake, and if they're not then they're either painfully naïve or wilfully ignorant. And in the off-chance they are being kind without being any of those things? Then they'll just get into trouble for associating with you.

Cynical? No, she's not cynical! Just... realistic. You can only get burned so many times, after all.

» incredibly cynical about basically everything, even if she doesn't want to admit it.
» snow's mom died when snow herself was still a kid, which hit especially hard seeing as they were incredibly close.
» her dad tried to fill the void her mom left best as he could, but his over-protectiveness and constant high-energy behaviour really didn't mesh well with her.
» when she moved out she cut all ties with her dad; he wasn't necessarily a terrible parent, but there were a lot of missteps and miscommunications over the years that accumulated into her breaking all contact with him.
» after the death of her mother snow grew increasingly more closed off along with becoming the target of bullying, and has had very little friends over the years (even now she's a fairly lonely individual).
» she had one main friend growing up, but their association with snow also led to them becoming the target of harassment. eventually, they just drifted apart.
» has a job as a writer for the compass' newspaper. she mainly writes columns, but also edits and designs pages on occasion.
» even if she'd deny it until she was blue in the face, snow has a massive soft spot for cats! she finds them to be one of the few good things in her life, and petting them is very soothing to her.
