 Turquoise had always been a loner, even from her hatchling days. When she heard the call of the Search beckoning her away, it was a very little lifestyle change having already been wandering alone throughout her youth across Sornieth. The Search drew her to the Plague lands and there, she met her Charge. To be fair, he, Evarado, found her. At first she didn't want to believe it, a singular dragon? How cliche. The compulsion, however, stuck and she found herself fascinated by the energetic scientist as he zipped about and did his work. The way he stared back at her was a little disconcerting at first, but she soon figured out he had a crush on her. Even more cliche. When he confessed his love for her, at first, she did not return his feelings. She told him she felt the same, but she just liked how convenient it would be to play at being mates with him in order to guard him. It was convenient for a time, but eventually she found her own gaze lingering on him just a little too long, herself staying near him just to be in his presence rather than just to make sure he was safe. When she finally admitted to herself that she really did love him outside of him just being her Charge, he seemed to notice the change in her and smiled and they've lived happily together ever since. |
