'Deadly attacker. Loyal to a fault. Mission is the only thing that matters. No one and nothing shall get in his way.' - by JediCreed
He was born and raised a soldier, with barely an identity to him besides a set of numbers. He has no idea who his family is, and all he's learned from his upbringing is that it doesn't matter. Nothing personal about him matters whatsoever, he is a tool to be used however his superiors see fit and that is all he will ever be. From within the empire he lived in nobody ever made him question otherwise, he lived the same way the other soldiers did up until he received a personal assignment. Someone had caught word of a peculiar blood being sold across Sornieth, but the creators of it were clever in hiding their merchants and location; so why not send in someone to get it? His job was to find this mysterious blood and its creators, and if he faced resistance to taking the blood then he was told to kill them. He thought it would be an easy job but when he got to the rumored location, he found himself staring at what appeared to be a Victorian era castle that carried an ominous type of magic. He wanted nothing to do with their brand of magic once he'd felt its presence in the air, but he would not let the empire down. Even if he was to insist that he feels nothing he could act like it at times, choosing to appear like a lost dragon stumbling across their castle in need of assistance. When he thought no one had been paying attention he tried to search the inside of the castle to find where their stash of prized blood, but he was found by the Hunter Lord Aethelweard, who he'd been barely able to convince over having no ill intentions and at the cost of showing his abilities to the Lord. Apparently it didn't matter whatever Aethel thought of him once he realized he had a capable dragon in his hands, he forgot all about the suspicion and brought him officially into the Mondire Court as an assassin. He was in no position to argue about getting closer to the court's secrets, so he reluctantly agreed to Aethel's terms. When he allowed himself to be brought into the court he didn't expect he would end up falling face first into their web of oddities and unknowns, but in short there were some who were particularly happy to finally have a lightning dragon to use as they saw fit. He is unfortunately in no position to argue, but he hates all of these things he's supposed to keep to himself and hates all of the dragons involved. Princess Virtue even found it to be a shame that he did not have a proper name and gave him one despite his protests, and now most everyone has taken to calling him 'Morrow' no matter how he corrects them. Once when he found himself getting especially annoyed with the court and their antics he disappeared into the basement of the place, and found himself stepping into warm sand. It seemingly came out of nowhere, but it was the closest thing he'd seen to home since he got there. Laying down into it he thought perhaps maybe this was how it felt to be comforted, before he found out he was not alone in the basement... whoever or whatever they are however, their presence has actually been the only nice one in the castle to him. Maybe the only nice one he'd ever had altogether. But whether he is aware of it or not, 'Morrow' is walking on thin ice in this court. He will adamantly state that he does not believe in their so called 'god', and for the moment the child hasn't acted. But everyone knows that will not last, it is granting him a chance to change his ways or face the consequences for his skepticism; and it has little tolerance to spare. |
