Radon began wearing her hood and mask after she realized she had become infected with gembond. She believes this was caused by her selection of an uncooked onyx cobra from the clan food storage as a meal one day; while it did not bite her, she began to notice symptoms the next morning after eating it. The gems are only the size of pebbles, possibly because of how little venom entered her bloodstream.
Radon is not overly concerned with the gembond, but she has become much more careful about what she eats, fearing worse consequences. Her clanmates are beginning to notice her picking at her food.
