The 'hunters' and 'catchers' are food gatherers. The hunters, as the name suggests, hunt meaty prey for the clan. The catchers hunt and catch insects for their clan.

One day, while hunting down by the river, the owl appeared and began unintentionally helping Aldon with this hunting and catching duties. Initially showing him where the best food was, the owl gradually began to hunt WITH Aldon! Of course the pair bonded, and have been best friends ever since. The dragon's familiar is known as Salix.
