of the dragon that took out a fleet.
with her confident air
and her bright shining scales
the fleet would admit defeat.
saporita and her crew
were feeling rather on edge-
they had just gotten sight
of pirate hunters in flight,
so they stayed wide awake all night.
as soon as the moon rose
to its highest perch,
pirate hunters came from everywhere!
and our captain
muttered a curse.
she gathered up the crew,
told them what to do.
and with her wings raising
and her eyes blazing,
she called "attack the fleet!"
as the others stayed in line,
she attacked from behind,
for her cloak had hidden her well.
the hunters didn't see her, but oh would they fear her
when she came from the sky now.
as glorious as the sky,
she showed them why
she was the ruler of her ship.
with flashes of bright
she fought with all her might.
and saporita defeated them all.
her crew was astonished
and with a sly smirk,
saporita looted the hunter's ship
to show how she was the leader of her line of work.
her and her crew left the ship
to sink into the bottom of the sea.
now it is but a relic
and her crew won't forget it
as long as they have their memory.
but saporita grew tired
of dragons knowing her name.
she only became a pirate
to escape any chance of fame,
so she left with a light heart.
though we miss her daring deeds,
she's never hopeless or forlorn.
she has her clan at her side,
and charlotte, who she adores.
finally, she is a better kind of free
now, saporita's legacy
remains one of the most.
while we tell tales of her greatness,
she is smiling with her clan
and looking fondly out on the coast.
