———— Haggard and wailing, Nekane throws herself at the mercy of passing travelers to entreat their kindness. Heavy tears thick and ink black with the remnants of her makeup, mud caking the tattered remains of her dress, the mere sight of her is enough to inspire charity in the most hardened of hearts.

They spare whatever they can, be it food, medicine, money... or their own blood.

To gaze upon those sorrowful eyes, those tear-stained cheeks, and those tresses of unkempt hair is to be drawn into Nekane's spell. Though an actor by trade, this vampire considers herself a musician of the heart, every heartstring plucked as delicately as a harp as she coaxes her victims to sing the tune she desires.

As she draws them in closer, closer, life pulsing beneath her clawtips.

For she knows that there is power in powerlessness.
