Even though he was once part of a Light clan, Mirage has a strong dislike of sunlight. Like a fair number of Shadow dragons, the rays tend to leave him sluggish and weakened for a long amount of time. Due to this, Mirage works on most of the tome research while staying deep inside his lair. It may have also influenced his joining of a Water clan; after all, it can be pretty dark in the Spiral Keep. Mirage keeps a lot of the records and often organizes the books and documents--a habit likely picked up from his former clanmates in the Light domain.
