What she and her mate didn't know was that the prison she protected was within the reaches of the Flamecaller's magic, and this became abruptly apparent the moment their single egg hatched with eyes of burning orange and fur of fiery red. Horrified at producing a hatchling not blessed by the Icewarden, Vasha's mother abandoned her family in shame, and was never heard from again. Raised by her father, she tried to fit in to Gaoler society but failed at every turn. Hated and ostracized, she was convinced the only reason she was allowed to exist at all was because of her father's position as a popular and well liked Sentinel.

One day, the possibility of escaping the Icefields became a reality. An ancient order of Gaoler society was reinstated, one that was permitted beyond their god's realm. Vasha found newly appointed members of these Seekers, and begged them to take her with them. Happy to be rid of the blasphemous blight on their kind, they agreed, and left her on the shores of the Ashfall Wastes "where she belonged". It was there she was discovered by the Forge Wardens, and realized the importance of her elemental alignment, proving the Flamecaller's might even over the first children of the Icewarden. Although her personality is as bitter as the lands she hailed from, it's understandable given her past, and Vasha has even made a few friends since finding her new home. She and Udarra spend their time smearing the name of the Icewarden and the Flight in general, while she and her mate Buhali bond over being thrown into a world so much bigger than they ever imagined.
