Venodel, The Warden

Born from the same breath of magic as his brother, Venodel is the quieter, less sociable twin. He holds no malice for dragons or their kin, so long as they don't attempt to harm the Verdling Grove or his minions, but he'd much rather most of them keep to their own lands. He acts as warden of the wood, preventing outsiders from poaching its game and leading lost wanderers to safety.

Like Veloden, he can take the guise of a dragon, and often does so. However, he is far more serious than his brother, and disapproves of his week-long revels and frivolous dealings with outsiders. Along with his Harpy and Centaur assistants, he spends a good deal of time cleaning up his older brother's messes, and setting the Grove in order.

Juniper, sometimes just June, is a Centaur of the Dunhoof herd. She helps Venodel keep track of what needs to be done, and often acts as a go-between when he cannot deal with beastclan visitors to the Grove himself. She is older than her appearance might suggest.

Calla, the Harpy, is a more recent arrival. She's rarely seen apart from Juniper, sometimes settling on the Centaur's back to rest. On the rare occasions that Venodel needs a pair of eyes outside the Grove, she will scout and report back to him. The rest of the time, she assists in mostly the same tasks as her partner - the pair make an excellent team.

Venodel keeps track of the needs of the Grove's inhabitants and the rest of allied Clan Menhir, because someone has to and Veloden sure isn't responsible enough.
