While Opalite's story isn't like most in the clan, he's still quite the interesting dragon. He traveled on his own for a while, searching for a clan that might need his help. He had honed his skill as an herbalist, skilled in the art of natural medicines.

He had found himself in the Crystalspine Reaches where a newly formed clan had taken refuge. At the time it was few in numbers; only a handful of dragons to boot. Among them was an ill imperial that the clan leader was having trouble nursing back to health.

It was his calling. This clan needed his help. With no healer in sight, he swiftly came in to the ill female imperial. He offered his help and the clan leader accepted just as quick.

In three days the female imperial named Nightlock became well again. Azura, the clan leader, was relieved. In her gratitude she offered him to stay. As it seemed, the clan needed a healer, and he was the only one around that fit that description. He agreed.

Overtime, new dragons joined the clan. They doubted his prowess with herbs and their medicinal properties. "Never underestimate nature's medicine; they have natural healing qualities that you need only look for."
