Tavin was always a quiet dragon, even when he was a hatchling. While his brothers and sisters were wreaking havok, he was perfectly fine staying in the den and looking around for coins and other hidden treasures. He was born in a huge Shadow clan named the ShadeWood. All of the dragons in the ShadeWood loved celebrations and festivals, it was practically in their blood. So when the TrickMurk Circus came around, the clan was bustling with activity. Tavin stayed close to his siblings, not wanting to get lost in the crowds. The first few days of assemblies and feasts were fun, but Tavin started wearing down after then. He asked his parents to stay home on the fourth night, but they insisted he come to this assembly. He reluctantly obliged, wondering how this event would be any different than the others. But as soon as he got there, he realized what it was and what it meant for him. It was time for him to move on to another clan.
He begged and begged his parents not to make him leave, but they insisted that the Shadow clan they were sending him to would be a much better place for him to live his life at. Before he could refuse any longer, he was sent off to the shadow clan without so much as a goodbye.
Upon arriving in Elysian, Tavin didn't know what to do with himself. Seafoam offered him a place in her Inn, and for a month or two he would barely leave his room or speak. Zohar would visit and talk to the Pearlcatcher, and eventually he started his own tinkering business where he would invent all sorts of contraptions. Zohar was a big inspiration to him, and they worked together quite often. But as he grew older he searched for a job that would be more fufilling for him. After a month or two of looking, Meara offered him a place as Elysian's Treasurer, after Zohar recommended him to the clan Leader. As soon as he started he knew that was what he wanted to do.
Tavin eventually came across a Sparkle Nymph and befriended the little guy after he would have sparkles and shiny objects randomly appear at his door. He was finally starting to feel content, and even more so when a golden Imperial arrived. Kulta was one of Meara's friends and the dragons of Elysian accepted her right away. She was confident, strong, and a natural born leader. But Tavin could see the pain behind her eyes. As soon as they met they connected, and Tavin learned of her past. It was a tragedy, but slowly the Pearlcatcher helped Kulta defeat her fears. They have been a pair ever since, and go through everything together.
