Lyon is a high level security guard at site 17. He has been with the clan almost as long as Leopardgust has and he's assimilated well into the clan. Lyon has been able to face down all manners of anomalies and protected civilians and staff alike. He has been awarded the gold medal of valor in the wake of his injury when protecting his clan from an ice monstrosity. The creature approached from the Southern Icefield and encountered this clan as one of the first dragon clans and began to attack. The creature was three times bigger than the largest imperial and its hide was light and transparent like ice and covered with large metallic plates. While the rest of the clan was evacuated from the battle area, Lyon, Bhasura, Amenken, and Bradshaw stayed behind to distract the monster. The creature breathed out a jet of liquid that froze when it came into contact with Lyon's wings. They managed to drive the monster away, but the trailing edge of Lyon's wings were permanently frozen. He would never fly again. But the clan was safe and the anomalies contained within did not breach containment. With the exception of Anomaly 100 (Bhasura) who was instrumental in protecting the clan. Ever since the event, Lyon has been something of a local legend. He doesn't make a big fuss over it though, and when asked he just says "It was the right thing to do. The only thing to do, really." He still works as a guard in site 17 and shows just as much bravery as he always has. His best friends are gaolers and he has been compared to the fluffy dragon species more than once. His tenacity and protective instincts have earned him an honorary place in the Overseer order. He takes his position and awards humbly and is very focused on his job. He might just be a gaoler without fur rather than a Ridgeback. Lyon is very intelligent and crafty and he likes to figure out puzzles and work through intellectual challenges. His creative solutions may be unusual, but his ideas are typically useful and effective. His work ethic and problem solving abilities combine with his strength and courage to make him a valuable asset and a powerful opponent. |
