Born with an uncanny talent for predicting the weather several days in advance, Rima finds a safe haven in Clan Araven despite the prevailing suspicion toward her breed in the wake of Emperor attacks - primarily by virtue of being the only Imperial in the clan. You can't make an Emperor if you only have one Imperial, after all, and Rima more than earns her keep by predicting incoming storms, heatwaves, and whether the plants need to be watered. Nobody's quite certain how she does it, and she claims she can simply "feel it on the air." But her track record is impressive, so nobody questions her abilities.
