When his parents, Razor & ValentineCherub, went to bring about their first children into the world, they (like most parents) thought of possible names to give their children once they hatched & arrived. One such idea was a name that would've been a good idea if one of them had been a girl since it sounded feminine to both parents was the name CloudSong. However, when the two eggs finally hatched and his parents realized they had no girls, they modified the name they liked so much and thus the designation for this Ridgeback came to be..


SkyScream is a loud, boisterous dragon who definitley lives up to his name. His volume always seems to be at 100, and no one is sure if that's because he's just a cheeky, mischievous fellow that's messing with everyone or if there's something serious going on like a hearing problem and that's why he shouts all the time.. Of course, he never lets anyone on to tell them either way, but one thing is for sure-- If you're going to be around this Ridgeback, you better be prepared for covering your ears. He is very enthusiastic for the things he's passionate about and might be what one could call being very 'extra'.
Most think he's probably just pulling everyone's wing (leg), for when he was a kid & in school, he wasn't always a screaming pro or so over-the-top. It seemed to come with adolescence as he learned what his name truly meant.. He seemed to go quiet for a time after his brother was Exalted, but when he found his Role, it was as if he found his confidence again, and the loudest dragon of the clan was back. XD
SkyScream also has a heart of gold & is there for when anyone needs a helping hand or someone to cheer them on. He is the best moral support that anyone could ask for, and the dragons in the clan jokingly say "You don't need any cheerleaders when you have SkyScream around."

When SkyScream was born, he had come into the world to two loving parents and with a brother. As they grew, the two Ridgebacks formed a close bond that mirrored that of what twins might share, even though DeathStorm seemed to be a little bit older maturity-wise. The dynamic between them seemed to switch because of this and even though SkyScream was was first-hatched, DeathStorm seemed to surpass him at everything. Though they were incredibly close & shared a tight bond, SkyScream also seemed to feel as though he was always in his brother's shadow and felt as though he couldn't measure up to him & his awesomeness. This didn't cause SkyScream to deviate however, instead he followed his brother around and tried to do everything he did to keep him as a best friend. DeathStorm didn't mind having the attention, thankfully, and was always good to his brother, even if his achievements always seemed to outnumber that of the other Ridgeback. It wasn't until DeathStorm decided to get Exalted, however, that things really came to a boil.. Since his brother had just received the highest honor a dragon could possibly achieve in Sornieth, SkyScream felt angered by this and wondered if all his efforts to try to match his brother's accolades had been for nothing. Though his parents tried to console him, SkyScream disregarded them and went about searching for something he could do to make his parents just as equally proud of him. He thought that that might be taking a wife & having some kids or finding a Role, but since there were not many dragons who caught his eye around that time and he didn't have any feelings for anybody like that, he settled for searching for his destiny within the clan, and what he could contribute to those here. It took awhile and he shadowed many other dragons trying to find the one good thing he was good at, but all his attempts seemed to be fruitless and led to nothing worthwhile....
Until one day he was following Pietro around, who was the clan's first Constructionist, that he felt he'd truly found his calling. SkyScream, while learning under the Imperial about his passions, found he was good with a hammer and could carry heavy wood and he could understand blueprints and the jargon of the job much easier than that of some others around him. Pietro found this Ridgeback was quite skilled as well, and soon got used to SkyScream's confidence & over-bearing attitude at the worksites that they built for those in the clan.
One time when he was busy on a project, a Construction Mith that came out of a chest Cascade received in the middle of July 2018 had come over to where he was and offered its help on the assignment, for it too had an amazing understanding of tools & blueprints. SkyScream was wary at first for he hadn't had a Familiar before, but after some time, the Mith proved to be incredibly helpful, and now he hardly goes anywhere without being trailed by Alex.
After he had grown up and gotten out on his own feet, he learned that his parents had re-bred once again and heard of the two hatchlings they were expecting. He went home for a time to see what siblings he'd get, and once they hatched, found that he had become a big brother to two younger sisters. He still kept at his job, but made sure to stop by his old place to be in their lives & show them what an awesome big brother was like. his parents were happy now that they had had at least one girl that they were hoping for, and another that they'd been blessed with, they finally used the name they'd been thinking of using for him at first. He didn't mind either way, and was happy to be around StormWind & CloudSong, joyously raising them with his parents, and even picked up a few tricks & tips he stuck in the back of his mind for in case if he ever had hatchlings of his own..

After a time of being successful at his job & working alongside others who had taken up the trade, he couldn't help but deny a nagging feeling deep within his heart.. One that made him want to come back to the search for love that he'd denied earlier when he went searching for a job. He noticed how there was a sense of loneliness that gnawed inside him, and this time, he decided to go looking for the right reasons, instead of what he'd previously thought about it for. So, without trying to live up to expectations his brother might've had or working to make his parents just as proud of him as they were of DeathStorm, SkyScream figured it was time to do something for himself because he wanted it for himself & for his own heart. With that, he set about looking for someone to love while he worked.. But nobody really seemed to catch his eye, just like before. But SkyScream wasn't a quitter, and unlike before, he was determined to not give up & hold out for the best love life could offer.
And he didn't have to wait long for when a pair of Coatls joined the clan, he knew the sisters were not there just by chance, but that one had come for him. Of the two, a beautiful pink pearlescent Coatl caught his eye, even though they were both stunning and equally alluring. But SkyScream was raised proper and only believed in one love for him, and before anyone else could steal the beautiful Coatl away from him, he approached her as she began to settle in & make a place & reputation for herself. At first, she was caught off gaurd by his forwardness, but found that she didn't mind his bluntness and decided to go with it. Since no one had caught her fancy when she arrived, the Coatl named WinterPearl figured she had nothing to lose with the dragon that was asking to date her. Her sister had been fortunate that she'd found a handsome Fae nearly right after arriving, but WinterPearl felt as though she was left behind, just flapping in the wind, so to speak, while her sister rushed into a whirlwind of a romance. It turned out alright for the both of them however, as her sister & the Fae have been together & still together to this day. WinterPearl herself began to wonder if she'd meet anyone until a Ridgeback approached her and asked to her be his date. She agreed, and from there, SkyScream and WinterPearl fell into a romance of their own as they learned about one another and found how much they shared in common. And, magically, SkyScream seemed to learn to lower his voice once more, at least, while he was around WinterPearl. As the Ridgeback kept seeing the Coatl, feelings began to take place inside his heart that told him he'd found the one & that he loved her so. With that, SkyScream felt as though it was time to ask "the question", and he wasn't disappointed when WinterPearl said 'yes'.
Soon thereafter, a ceremony was held & wedding bells rang for the happy couple and then they moved into their own part of the lair to start a life for themselves together. SkyScream had left the idea of having children in the past for now that he had found true love in his wife, he felt full, happy & accomplished, as if his life didn't need anything else to be more complete. But when WinterPearl told him they were going to be parents, he began to re-think his stance on that, and decided to welcome in the hatchlings they were going to have, regardless of if it made his own parents proud of him or not. A short time later, the clutch had hatched and they welcomed into the world 3 wonderful Ridgebacks, one son and two daughters. They named two of them after the colors of the rock in the sky that they so resembled, and gave a name to their daughter that would be shared between her & her mother. SkyScream & WinterPearl raised their children wonderfully and had his parents help with some of the care-giving as they became part of their lives as grandparents, and all were happy to see the children grow & develop in their own ways. As all 3 of them grew, each of them expressed an interest in the religious side of things and the deity that reigned over the domain of Wind, and thus, all 3 decided they wanted to be Exalted. With this decision and after they left, SkyScream learned what it was to feel incredibly proud of someone for receiving the highest honor possible, and gained a new respect for his brother that he hadn't quite had before.
As the home he shared with WinterPearl grew quiet after that, he went back to his job full time, and grew content with life the way it was & now shares his days happily with the love of his life & his helpful Construction partner.

As stated above, SkyScream's Role in the clan is working as a Constructionist! He works to build new parts for the lair that need it since it's always expanding and new families are constantly forming. He also works to make buildings for non-residential needs such as workshops, bakeries, barber shops, clothing stores or other means that the space might be used for. Since SkyScream is so handy with a hammer, he truly feels as if this is what he's meant to do in life & loves helping others. He even helped to build the part of the lair that he now calls home with his wife :)

Fun Fact: His Broadcast Message (the words beneath his name) is a little nod & reference to the old Verizon commercials that used to play where the guy in them asks the viewers 'can you hear me now'.. I thought it would be fitting for this dragon since he's the loudest, thought it'd be a little fun joke XD
