Streams of light trickling through redwood branches illuminate the path before him. The soft crunch of fallen leaves underfoot, the resonant pizzicato of plucked lyre strings, an ambient accompaniment of birdsong and rustling leaves, all playing in unison, a halcyon symphony of harmony and life. Lokke claims not to know the secrets of the sun-touched copses of colossal redwood trees, for the forest has its mysteries, and so, too, does he. It provides him with sustenance, and in turn, he asks for nothing more than what he needs and protects its providence from those who would ravage it.

With a holy ballad granted to him from an engraving in a stone, Lokke's slender form writhes and twists into that of a monstrous serpent boasting many heads, an amalgamate of winding flesh, thorns, and pale roses that envelop his body. Lokke, gentle of heart, loathes conflict and loathes more to frighten his daughter, but if he must, he has no qualms about using his serpentine transformation to defend her and their home. In this form, he loses almost all rational thought and gives in to feral instinct. Like a flower loses its petals, like night ebbs away into dawn, his transformation is both physically and mentally taxing on his body, and thus, fleeting. Within mere minutes, Lokke reverts to a placid medicine maker.

He leads an idyllic life of foraging for herbs and brewing magical concoctions with them, mostly curative in nature, but occasionally potions for... other purposes as well. After all, the boundaries between 'medicine' and 'poison' are so often vague. Every so often, Lokke leaves his yurt to peddle his wares among civilization, then returns with necessities and small gifts for his daughter. Never does he stray too long from the forest that has given him so much.
